We talked to an expert from the Colorado School of mines that put this all in perspective. He says earthquakes like this are not uncommon. And that the three locations are known for past seismic activity. But he says they probably were not related. When a large earthquake happens, it can trigger other earthquakes nearby. And that world. And around 200 earthquakes happen every year, around the world. He says it is by chance that all three of these big ones happen on the same day. Like we said, we think he has robbed five banks in and out quickly and police have not said how much money he has gotten away with and it may be only a matter of time before he strikes again. Tarhonda, thank you. The District Attorney for sedgewick county is looking into one of her own county sheriffs and she very awkward. She represents several counties in eastern colorado. This is sedgewick county tom hanna, he heard the charges against him in court on tuesday. Facing fell i had charges involving a Sexual Assault of a developmentally disabled inmate. Court records say that the sheriff told a deputy on august 10 he was going to drive a female prisoner and his personal truck to the logan county jail. Instead, the deputy says the house. The investigators interviewed the inmate, a woman who says she has a low iq, and she told investigators the sheriff had her strip down, offered her 60 and then Sexual Assaulted her. The d. A. Says she is confident the other sheriffs in the district are doing a good job. I have the utmost confidence in the other sheriffs in my district. I dont want this to reflect poorly on all rural sheriffs. The sheriffs bond was at 250,000. Hanna is no longer sheriff. By law, that job now falls it to the county coroner and he is due in court in logan county on september 16. We have new information, on that deadly crash, in aurora, from earlier this week, and on monday, the driver of an suv drove on to a crosswalk where a group of people were walking. And you may remember, it was discontinued in 2009. And it was just way too expensive for a private operator to run. And amtrak is partnering with winter park to bring the train back. Back in march of 2015, amtraks winter park offered a chance to try the ski train for two days, over a weekend. And tickets for that just sold out for both days. Immediately. And amtrak studied that trip to see if it made more sense to cdot studied that trial weekend. And cdot says it is an analysis that showed it could take up to 500 vehicles off of the i70 corridor during the peak ski traffic time. It is a winwin all around for everyone.
