You may have noticed a lot of traffic and equipment along speer boulevard the last couple of days. Excel said its fussing xcel said its fixing a problem that could become a bigger danger to drivers at any point. Whats the issue, jessica, and how long are delays expected to last . Reporter the city of denver actually has about 200 concrete steel vaults underground. Replaced. It is, of course, causing a big problem for drivers as x sell continues to make these xcel continues to make these repairs. Check out these delays that are now reaching speer and logan. This iscreating an interesting challenge for this firehouse behind me. Weve seen firefighters have to take at alternate routes because they have to avoid all the traffic. Xcel said this is nothing compared to all of the issues theyre experiencing under the surface right now. That changed two days ago for drivers heading downtown on speer boulevard. It has been worked. Quite a few coworkers were talking about just backed up on speer and how long it took them doubling and tripling in some places, the already busy road causing even more delays all because of whats happening underground. Makes their commute much longer. Reporter xcel said an old concrete steam bolt desperately needs replaced. Crews closed two lanes on speer, crews saying this is an emergency. So cleveland and chicago, pretty darn excited. I think people anticipated this longer than we imagined, quite the matchup thissier. Baseball fans are happy. Online brokers say by the time its all over this world series could set the record for the highest average ticket price in some tickets are going for 10,000. That guy is not paying 10 grand im just saying right now. Or is he . Well, yeah. And somebody in his house is finding out afterwards and saying what . Hey, its history. It is history. I cant picture that money. If you can watch it at home. If youre a cubs fan, you have a lot saved up. With voting underway, some decide. If you dont like donald trump or clinton, should you Vote Third Party or what some less the lesser or what some say is the lesser of two evils. We have several event ideas on things you can do for than Hillary Clinton or donald trump just throwing away your vote . Go to 9news. Com votenow. We are taking your votes live. We want to hear what you have count or matter . Go. In my opinion they really do matter. If you vote for a third party, one of the minor candidates, your vote will show in the final tally how much that candidate has attracted in the strength of his or her party. So it is not a wasted vote. It really counts. It matters a whole lot to the libertarian party, for example, so even if that person doesnt win, youve made your statement is what youre saying . Yes. The message has been received. So the same goes for if you choose not to vote for president but you vote all the way down the ticket. Yes. That says to the analyst later running the numbers that theres a lot of people out there who did not like their choice for president. Any of them. Any of them, but you have to vote down the senator because and ballot questions and on down the line. They will look at the numbers and see whether there are fewer votes for president than the other candidates, than the other races. You view that as totally valid. Im going to skip the president ial race outright if youre really fed up with your country that you feel these choices were the good. There are some people who would say practically speaking even though theres 20s some odd candidates out there its a twoparty system. We know historically one of these two major parties are going to win. How do you convince someone theyre not sitting it out if they decide to pick that lesser of two evils choice if they feel that way . I recommend we all take a years and its not just one election in isolation and your vote in isolation from all the other votes. Its the whole population and how they vote. So a party that is small but growing way back when in the 1930s and 40s, the socialist party was racking up millions of votes and people actually listened even though theyd american but their credit selfs of the american system were heard by both parties and both republican and democratic parties adjusted their platforms and their laws in accord answer and then the socialist party collapsed. I can picture a voter sitting out there scared of one or the other of the two Major Party Candidates the third partte oy vovoting for the one they think has a shot at clinton, doesnt matter which one. How would you tell them to weigh the difference between a protest vote and trying to keep the one theyre actually scared of out of office . Oh, i think dont vote for either one. Dont go the protest route its not well received by our current balloting system. If we had a preferential ballot these things would become clear where you rank all the candidates, but for whatever reason, mostly tradition, we dont do that here, so protest votes are lost. If you favor hillary lets say or oppose donald trump and you hillary, let me put it that way and even worse, you dont like trump, voting for hillary sounds like you support her, but actually you dont. If you really dont support either candidate, dont vote for them. Vote for a senator instead. And vote down the ticket, but vote is what your message is. Absolutely. Because if you dont vote the people who have been angered and frustrated, dont not vote. That message says you dont care. Statistics tell us how many choose to vote. Were looking at result on screen with people saying yes, they think it is throwing away your vote. Obviously someone everyone has to make their own decision on. Theres a word out there wasted science that has a very strict definition. Unfortunately its not really wasted. Its just excess. Calling it a wasted vote makes it a value judgment and i regret that anybody ever made thanks so much for your time. Thank you. Weve got a few days left. A spokeswoman released a statement saying in part, we deeply sympathize with the women and families impacted by Ovarian Cancer. Anyone can be a hero. You can schedule your day to say im going to save the 19th annual drive for life is happening at mile high. The only thing that matters is that you give. In 2009 i went into the hospital for a routine surgery and things became not so routine.
