Essentially from inland areas down to the santa clara valley. The areas not in red. They dont have a heat advisory. But still, hot across portions of the region for tomorrow. The headline tomorrow will be warmer than today. And a heat advisory were talking about how long this is lasting. Saturday, sunday, monday, tuesday, and wednesday. Temperatures in the mid 90s approaching 105 degrees. The biggest impacts will be felt for the in the inland areas as you cant pick out today a few spots around 100. A bit warmer into sunday and look what happens into monday and tuesday and wednesday and thursday of next week. Still talking about triple digit heat. Well, the extremely warm weather may have contributed to traffic grass fire in oakland. Fire crews responded to a brush fire along highway 13 this afternoon. The fire forced the temporary closure of the northbound lanes while crews worked to get the flames under control. They set up a staging area at Holy Names University and battled the fire from this hillside. It ended burning only. 75 of an acre there. Its a heavily traveled stretch of freeway. Multiple debris. Lots of cigarettes and lots of lighters so determining cause along the roadway is very difficult. East Bay Regional Parks and cal fire joined the Oakland Fire Department to battle those flames. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. A family in the east Bay Community of oakland is searching for answers when they say a raid on their home went horribly wrong leaving them with Property Damage and an unlivable home. Navy divers have recovered some but not all of the seven missing crew members from the destroyer uss fitzgerald. But the cause of the fire has also not been confirmed. Yosemite National Park managers plan to reopen the road tomorrow after clearing a landslide there. Rangers say a 100foot stretch of the road will be gravel and motorists will have to slow down and not stop there. Repairs will be completed at a later date to the damaged road. A san jose man was arrested in the north bay today after allegedly punching a Highway Patrol officer. It happened about 8 45 this morning on westbound interstate 80 near american canyon. The Highway Patrol says a female officer spotted an erratic driver who had reportedly caused several traffic collisions along the freeway while driving at a pickup truck. The truck broke down and as the officer approached the driver, investigators say he hit her. Knocking her to the pavement and then started kicking her while she was down. Luckily passing drivers stopped and helped the officer. The suspect was identified as 49yearold gary koslovich from san jose. Hes facing charges, family still looking for answers after their child dies following dental procedure. The 3yearold went totaquines dental surgery to the childrens dental Surgery Center in stockton on thursday. But during the procedure, something went terribly wrong. The administrator of the center says the girl had some sort of reaction during the dental procedures and but was stabilized and sent to st. Josephs hospital. A short time later the toddler was pronounced dead.
