That could be a lead hazard. Reporter its like a domino effect. That paint can fall into the dirt or worse, the soil could already be contaminated. That will be one subsample. Reporter there are no symptoms to look for, just lasting developmental affects only noticed in schoolage kids. All the more reason why taking proactive steps is key to saving our children. Right now, the county is working with oakland to develop a proactive rental inspection program. In the meantime, their goal is to complete 100 units of lead safe housing specifically for children under six.
