Saturday night, it was a cold play concert, but they also make up about a third of the force at 49ers games. The union that represents those officers says some of its members have been so offended by comments made by Colin Kaepernick that they are threatening not to give security at games. You can become a cop in six months and dont have to have the same amount of training as a cosmetologist. Reporter his refusal to stand for the National Anthem and a photo of him as practice wearing socks that depicted police as pigs only stoked the fire. The police union said that these intentional acts and inflammatory statements are insulting to our members. If the 49ers organization fails to take action to stop this type of inappropriate workplace behavior, it could result in Police Officers choosing not to work at your facilities. Law enforcement is there to protect everybody. Reporter mike sellers says its his constitutional right to speak out. We also have to remember, he has a First Amendment right, and thats extremely important for all Law Enforcement to understand. We are here to uphold the constitution. We heard mixed opinions from fans. The police is serving the whole team. Pointing out just him is not helping everyone else. He can have his right to freedom of speech. Colin kaepernick has a strong point of view. I think they should be able to express it too. Reporter a 49ers Spokesman Says the team has no comment. The team in the past has issued the statement supporting his constitutional right to not participate in the National Anthem. He will continue this protest. Hes expected to speak at a church in San Francisco about some of this tomorrow morning. What are the chances that some of them wont show up to the game . Reporter the police chief says he is talking to them. Hes optimistic that that wont happen. A sailboat flips in the bay throwing 16 people, most of them kids, right into the water. It happened right off of fort basin. Throwing 15 kids and an adult into that water. They rushed in and got them all out safely. No one was injured. No word yet on what caused all of this. Someone opens up fire hitting two guards. Deputies say it began when a man tried to cut to the front of the visitors line. That man started shooting. 37yearold was eventually taken into custody but not without a struggle. The sequence of events, exactly what happened, were still finding out at one point, the suspect was tased. We dont know who or at what point during the struggle that that happened. He is a convicted rapist with a long history of violence. New at 10 00, a Tropical Storm warning has now been issued for parts of new york city as hermine barrels towards them. As a result, the intense rainfall is expected to remain offshore, but any change in that forecast, theres a good chance that there could be changes to the forecast.
