Reporter the victim was a complete stranger to heart who allegedly came up behind him after the movie started and put and plunged a kitchen knife into his neck and chest. Completely unprovoked. There was no reason for the suspect to attack the victim. They did know each other at all. Reporter 21yearold adam lucero is hospitalized and expected to survive. Police say probably thanks to those witnesses who intervened. The witnesses, they acted very quickly. They were yelling for somebody to call the police. He ends up running out of the theater. And the witnesses started attending to the victim right away. Probably saved his life. He was always crashed out or hanging out at a mcdonalds or the bus stop, never seen him talk to anyone. Its a massive project. Ultimately could be a location for some 30,000 jobs. Which from a regional perspective could be a good thing. But the real problem is this project only comes with several hundred homes. Where are these people going to live . Reporter san jose spokesman david voss calling the project out of balance. Approved by the Santa Clara City Council this week its 9 million square feet, it will sit on a former land landfill, now a golf course and dirt track across from levis stadium and include office, Retail Entertainment hotel and apartment units. Although they might see the narrow benefits for their city, its the rest of our region, the rest of the valley that will be paying the cost in terms of quality of life, congestion, high price of housing. In the next few years we have a plan to build up to about 10,000 housing units. Reporter acting city manager says the city is addressing the housing issue with projects along tasman and El Camino Real. He is expecting city place will bring at least 8 million in general tax revenue and prove improvements to the south bay infrastructure also promised. The developer set to be working arrangement to provide parking for events at levis stadium. As far as them taking any action, thats any citys prerogative, but we strongly believe that this project has mitigated all the impact. Homelessness has been on the rise, we now have a state of emergency and over the past few years, the homelessness rates have been increasing in a disturbing fashion. Seattle much like the San Francisco bay area is almost a victim of its own success but here, the hightech boom has brought in Companies Looking for a cheaper place to set up shop than back in the bay area. That led to expansion with well paid workers and one very poignant unintended consequence. Our families were outside, they were under bridges and in doorways, sleeping in their cars.
