Now we did speak to the father of her 5yearold son who said he spoke to her on saturday morning and that she assured him the children were secure inside the vehicle. Police agencies around the country are increasing security for the fourth of july holiday. In new york city mayor bill de blasio is warning people they will see a Strong Police presence along with blocker vehicles and sand trucks to protect the city during their holiday celebrations. The blocker vehicles will prevent an attack like the one in nice, france that killed be more than 85 people. Police in washington, d. C. Also say they are prepared as well. They expect hundreds of thousands of people to watch fireworks at the national mall. Well be prepared. We dont talk about that specifically because people who may want to do harm to the district of columbia are also listening. Police are relying on members of the public to alert them to any suspicious behavior. Theyre telling people to go and have fun with your families, but if you see something out of place say something. Bay area Police Agencies are prepared for a fireworks crackdown and they are hoping the public could help them catch violators with a new app. Ktvu Azenith Smith has a report on what this app can do to help police. So typically july at this time here we will be talking about fog and that is in fact indeed the case up and down our coastline right now. Hugging a good portion of the california coastline. Well come in closer right now and thats the key for us with a pretty good on shore wind. With that transporting their low clouds that will be back over the bay bridge extending back towards the east bay as well. So we are skipping ahead two days for tuesday evening and all these yellow dots, they represent the Fireworks Show around the bay area. So a lot will be on out there. For the coast we will be expecting the low clouds around the bay partly cloudy skies, inland mostly clear. Temperatures ranging from the mid50s to the mid60s as we come in closer to San Francisco. It looks like fog will be a factor and it is always something that could surprise us for the evening hours. Right now we need some patchy fog in the forecast at least for tuesday night and temperatures, they definitely want to bundle up mainly in the mid to upper 50s for downtown San Francisco tuesday night. Demonstrations across the country today causing for the impeachment of president donald trump. In San Francisco a group of protesters gathered on the steps of the state capital. Things were peaceful in sacramento and there were confrontations between antiand pro trump demonstrators and other cities including miami, florida, and austin, texas. In San Francisco hundreds of people rallied this afternoon also calling for the impeachment of the president. Ktvu rob malcolm was there. The people in this country are vigilant, involved, and informed. Reporter hundreds gathered at San Franciscos Justin Herman plaza with one thing on their minds. And i think people are mad and they are fed up with that and what theyre doing and theyre not happy. They will need to change congress to elect democrats with the sign to deal with this dangerous situation. The recording standard for decades is now making a comeback in the digital age. Thats great news. Its the largest vinyl record in the country. If you have ever wondered how the vinyl record is made, then the process is a little more complicated than you think. We started making this in 1989. With the growth of vinyl we needed to find a bigger space and add more presses and double staff. Were kind of a onestop shop here. One of the first steps of making a record is the National Record session. This is where we cut it all. To preserve it we need to take it through the process. Thats where we have to turn it into metal parts. So we can put it on to the press. From the laquer we create a master and then we create a mother. And these are bolted onto the press and kind of like a waffle maker. Right here im going to show you the special split vinyl press. First we start with these pvc pellets. Little beads. These are poured into these coppers. And it is melted down in a really high heat. So it is kind of like a huge pace after being melted down. And so after being melted down, its coming out into this, what we call a biscuit. You can see it right there picking up the label and puts it into this side and press it. We will press it 60 tons a pressure right now. It will take about 30 seconds to make one record. And so we call the trimming the ss splash. And so it is going to regrind that material and reuse it so we can recycle it. Here we have our split collar record. Thats pretty interesting. Thats so cool. It is looking like it might be time to dust off the players. Theyre so popular sony plans to start making them again after a 28yore hiatus.
