Belindas family side their friend did not know the names of the young men she was with. Police are saying tonight that they are tracking down several leads and also analyzing phone records. A suspected car thief led a sheriff deputy on a high speed chase from lafayette through the caldecut tunnel and then crashed. Witnesses say they saw a red nissan going about 100 Miles Per Hour just before 2 00 this afternoon. The driver of that nissan hit two other vehicles causing one to roll into a chain link fence. The chp says the deputy had already called off the chase before the crash happened. Three people were hurt. One man says he narrowly avoided getting hit. I dont know. I thought somebody sideswiped somebody and caused the accident. But, soon afterward you could hear sirens and they were not far behind. Both men in that nissan were taken into custody. Authorities say the chase started when the driver refused to stop. Investigators say the two suspects may have been involved in a robbery at a grocery store. Reporter the shooting sunday night outside the San Francisco Police Mission statement came after three Police Sergeants three a man blocked the vehicle. When Police Ordered him to show his hands, investigators say he lifted his sweater displaying what looked to be the butt of a handgun. Three deputies fired, he died at the hospital later. They found a bb gun or pellet gun. It looks and feels like a real gun. Its heavy, its metal. Reporter police today showed us how similar an air soft pellet gun is to a department issued zig. Its unclear if there was an orange tip to show it was a replica. When you come into one of these situations where a weapon is displayed you literally have a fraction of a second to determine whether its real. Reporter possession of a bb or pellet gun is illegal. Theyre frequently used to commit crimes. Police in indianapolis and chicago have recently sent out messages about these toy weapons looking like real toys. On corner stone church. A man hunt is under way in new york city for a gunman who shot and wounded two Police Officers tonight. The new york postreport that is the officer had pulled over but that the driver sped away and crashed. Police say he then got out and fired on the officers. All of this comes just a day after the funeral of officer liu. He and his partner were ambushed and killed as they were sitting in their patrol car last month. San mateo county is getting relief after our recent storms caused millions of the dollars in damage. A storm Assistance Center opened up to help people affected by the storms. Governor brown has already issued a statement of emergency proclamation for san mateo. The storms left many homes with flood damage and residents tell us some people are still dealing with the aftermath. No rain around here for a little while. Theres a lot of moisture basically in the Atmospheric River but going the other way. This is the pattern that got us so wet a few weeks ago but the pattern was tilted. It was more of a horizontal. Reporter the University Dean of student says Sexual Assault isnt easy to talk about but the film is a new tool to address the problem of under reporting on all College Campuses. These are survivors and victims and parents and friends talking about something really powerful and difficult. Knowing that its actually real life words and comments from people who went through this i think it could make definitely a bigger impact. No fog, no coastal fog because the winds at this hour predominantly are going offshore. So these clouds coming in over head are high clouds at the surface were seeing a little bit of patchy fog. We have the last couple of mornings we will see it again tomorrow morning. These are the current temperatures. Its going to be cool tonight. But dewpoints are slightly warmer than they were last night. So its going to be not quite as cool. Dewpoint temperatures pretty much dictates how cool it can get. Most of the temperatures in the 30s.
