Massive search parties and Police Investigators have been unable to find sierra lamar since she disappeared. Today transcripts finally reveal how prosecutors are making the case against the suspect. Tonight we spoke to sierras father. The transcript coming out i think is good in that the public deserves to know as we the family deserves to know some of these details. Details such as evidence seized. It was sierras hair they found in the trunk of the car. I was not aware that there was dna found. Reporter the case against torrez stands by a tiny thread. Skin fibers and hair fibers. The transcript also shows emotional testimony from three women who torrez allegedly attempted to kidnap in march 2009. One victim described the assault. Quote he continued to tase me the more i would struggle the tighter his how old would get. And later she said, i started screaming and yelling and he started punching me in the face. I think this is one step in the process that will lead to getting justice for sierra and the family. Reporter Garcia Torrez pled not guilty in january and remains in jail. Prosecutors say theyre going after the death penalty. Court records show that the next court date is september 10th. In san jose, jana katsuyama, ktvu. We spoke to a defense attorney about the case. Sierra lamars hair was found in a rope. There doesnt seem to be any explanation for that fact. Torrez says he never met lamar. He worked with a landscaper who says he gave him the rope so he could practice tieing knots. New information tonight on an investigation into a car accident involving oakland mayor gene quan. We have video of the mayor driving her suv moments before she collided with the sedan on 26th and Market Street one month ago. Police say all they can determine is that one of the two vehicles ran a red light. We cant say which one. The investigation also ruled out the use of a cell phone with either driver. The time of the investigation isnt known. Mayor quan usedded her city issued phone at 5 16 then 5 31, 5 36 and 5 37. We also know she accessed the internet at 5 22. Giants and as faced off yesterday at at t park one night after the park outside that hospitalized an oakland woman. Ken pritchett is in San Francisco with new information on the incident and how police are turning to the public for help in finding the one outstanding suspect. Ken. The witness says that it was a 200pound plus man who attacked a defenseless woman. The game last night was between the giants and as. Police say that had nothing to do with it. Im really saddened by what happened because thats not what baseball is all about. Reporter it happened across from the ballpark, a woman trying to stop a fight between two men was attacked. She was really harmless. Reporter a man was helping the woman who appeared drunk. The men started fighting. The intoxicated girl stood up and the bigger guy just turned around and punched her right in the face. She fell right on the sidewalk. Obviously knock out cold. Reporter the woman taken to the hospital with head injuries. Were glad to say that she is responding to her treatment. And looks like shell be fine. Reporter by tracing a license plate, police were able to arrest Francisco Lopez in sacramento last night. At this point were still looking for a secondary suspect. And were working with the victims in obtaining information on her whereabouts now. Reporter police say the fight was not fan rivalry violence which is clear to cory white. These people all had as gear on. It was not a giants versus as thing. I dont know what they were all thinking. Reporter we talked to a San Francisco Police Officer out here tonight who says he wasnt aware of anything different in terms of staffing. There were a large number of officers outside today as presumably there were yesterday and for most games. Its important to remember this attack happened two hours after yesterdays game ended. Hes now in San Francisco jail facing assault with a Deadly Weapon and conspiracy charges. A man who robbed a Jewelry Store in santa rosa yesterday is still on the lose tonight. Police released these new surveillance photos showing the robber inside Bennett Valley jewelers. Hes described as a tall black man with a heavy build. Investigators believe he may have been shot in the lower leg. Another man has been identified as 43yearold jimmy alteri of oakland. An employee at the Jewelry Store was injured but is expected to be okay. Police are investigating a collision involving an amtrak train and pedestrian. It happened just south of the santa clara station near lafayette and agnus. A train going from san jose to sacramento hit and killed a man who was trespassing on the track. Riders who were delayed were taken to the station. Police headquarters in oakland was evacuated this morning because of what they thought might be a gas leak. Crews isolated the smell to the heating and airconditioning system in a Police Administration building on seventh and broadway. After a full scan of the area, fire officials determined the odor was not gas. By late this afternoon employees were temporarily allowed back inside. The delay did cause an inconvenience to the people who were evacuated. We all have served the public. We know it comes far. Things happen. You know, okay. Come back on monday. The cdc is shutting down two Research Labs and stopping transfers of samples to other labs. It says it found five incidents in the past decade where disease samples were mishandled including one that came to light wednesday. The review was prompted by last months accidental exposure by dozens of workers at amtrak. And california is having an outbreak of whooping cough. Reporter it was over a series of Text Messages that scott angelo was able to trick teenage girls to send pictures of themselves. It was through tricking them into thinking they were a family member. Its not something that a normal person would do. Reporter deputies shared some of the texts. One said hey its dad. This is my new number i had to change it for work. It was followed by another that said, a coworkers daughter has her own swim ware line she wanted me to ask her if you would be interested in helping her promote her stuff. Angelo then pretended to be a second person asking the girls to send provocative photos for a potential modeling gig. At least five teen girls from Santa Cruz County fell victim. So did a girl from indiana and another from maryland. Deputies say they confiscated more than 50 photos when they arrested angelo on thursday. It definitely transfers to the mind of criminallalty. Reporter there was no answer when we went by angelos sunny vale home this evening. Supersurprised. Reporter neighbors say angelo lived here with his parents and never seemed to be a problem. Theyre really always nice people. When we see them in the evening they casually talk. Theyre very friendly and willing to help. Reporter angelo posted bail yesterday. As for how he contacted the girls, they dont know but they believe social media played a role. Theyre asking any other victims to please come forward. Yahoo and one of its top female executives are being sued for sexual harassment. Maria yang is identified as a senior a woman says that yang forced her to have sex several times and feared her after she refused. Initially the Municipal Transportation Agency wanted to charge them 1 per stop but now theyre upping that to 3. 55 per stop. Officials say it turns out the buses make significantly fewer stops than anticipated and the fee was revised to cover the cost to implement this 18 month pilot program. New rules are going into effect to require drivers to get fast track if they want to use toll lanes. The goal here is to cut down on drivers who cheat by using diamond lanes when they shouldnt. Starting january 1st. Fast track transponders will be required to use the car pool lane and the new toll lanes on 580. He was the 17yearold shot and killed by a deputy. Last week we found out that the deputy was not going to face any charges. Deputy galehouse said he thought the rifle was real. A woman jumps into action to save the man in the bottom of the pool. His daughter was right there screaming. She tells us about the moments leading up to the rescue. This woman who asked we call her julie has lived on Treasure Island for several years. Theyre afraid if we speak out about the contamination theyll be harassed by city workers. Still, fearing the results of the test they want the city to take action. Fleeing the radiation and all the contaminations of. The readings are such that it does not represent a Health Concern but its something that we want to investigate further. Reporter hes not allowed to say which kwraoupt is unit is the one that tested positive. But the levels are so low and the effects are localized that theres no threat to others. It is a vacant unit. So it certainly does not expose any of the adjoining units or neighboring residents to any sort of radiation at all. Reporter you hear radiation and then they panic and they dont necessarily reach out to find the information. Reporter some of the units were built where some of the solid waste was dispose. And thats where the high levels are being found. Being buried by the soil. Being shielded by the unit. The radiation that they emit is not of health risk. Police say he was arrested this evening in sacramento. Hes identified as 42yearold anthony rucker. He faces charges of assault with a Deadly Weapon and battery among other charges. Police say he will be extradited to San Francisco. The woman injured trying to break up the fight was released from the hospital just this morning. Hundreds of parents lined up today to get Free School Supplies for their children. In fact, some people camped out overnight to register for the School Supplies that Sacred Heart Community services hands out every year. This year they plan to give away 800 backpacks all filled with School Supplies. Students and parents tell us these backpacks are a real lifeline.
