Today neighbors told us there was a good sized crowd outside the home and inside the garage. And that a person on a bicycle road by and fired into that garage. A gun was found inside the car of a man shot by a chp officer last night in milpitas. The man was fleeing police around 9 30 near falling star drive just west of interstate 680. They say he slowed down to let a 7yearold out of his car. He then attempted to hit a Milpitas Police cruiser. The man then got out of car, thats when a chp officer opened fire. The 29yearold suspect was taken to the hospital with nonlife threatening injuries. In addition to a gun in the suspects vehicle they found drugs on him. Theres no word yet on what caused a solo vehicle crash on highway 4 in concord that critically injured one person. The Highway Patrol says around midnight the car drove off the freeway at the solano way exit. The car then hit a light pole and came to rest right next to the solano highway theater. It happened at 4 00 this morning along highway 1 at navigators reach near sea ranch. The Highway Patrol says the car left the road and crashed into a large tree. The two victims were pronounced dead at the scene. Late tonight they are identified as Giovanni Cortez and Aaron Gonzalez cortez. The injured victim 17yearold jason alaniz marquez was sold to the hospital. A preliminary investigation say it is car was traveling too fast around a curb. A 22yearold Mountain View woman was accused of assaulting two conductors. One of who was injured so badly she was taken to the hospital.
