Adding urgency for a push for better security at federal facilities. Courthouse security under fire after someone fired a shot that pierced a window of the federal courthouse in oakland. Were definitely concerned. Reporter agents with the federal Protection Service discovered the bullet during a check of the building. Upon further inspection officials realize it passed through the chambers of u. S. District judge white. It went through a window, struck a microwave before coming to rest at the wall of the jury room. At this point we dont believe that any of the judges were targeted. Reporter instead they believe it was a stay bullet from a shoot out. Still judge white says he hopes the Administrative Offices will step up and protect judges by installing bulletproof or bulletresistant materials. Were going to look at and see what security enhancements we can do to the exinterior of the building so that this doesnt happen again. Reporter Oakland Police removed that bullet and i checked earlier tonight with the police and they tell me that they havent made any arrests in that weekend shooting. Meantime firefighters are still monitoring an area of the east bay hills where five small fires burned this afternoon. In 10 minutes the firefighters suspicions that have neighbors there on edge. Now to martinez where four female employees at a papa murphys have filed a lawsuit after they discovered a camera in the bathroom. The womens former boss is at the center of this lawsuit, amber. Reporter the victims say the video taping took place inside this papa murphies on arnold drive. Now they want compensation for the trauma it caused. The law states that lasser the former manager was convicted of secretly video taping employees in the restroom. The victims range in age from 17 to early 20s and no longer work there. They are now seeking damages in a civil suit. What he did was horrible. I mean, he took advantage of the power he had over these women. This is a place he knew they changed clothes. Reporter the lawsuit says as a result of finding cardboard boxes with holes cut out of them placed on wired shelving in the restroom, one plaintiff became suspicious of lassers video taping. One day after lasser had been in the restroom for five or 10 minutes. Plaintiff went into the restroom immediately after lasser exited and found a camera inside the cardboard boxes. Police in lafayette are investigating a deadly crash two women were struck and killed by a truck. It happened in upper happy valley road at about 1 15 this afternoon. It appears the woman was in the crosswalk at the time. The truck driver stopped and is cooperating with investigators. Police are not releasing the womans name but say she was about 54 years old. You will recall five women died when they were trapped in the burning limo in may of 2013. The states puc overnight was found insufficient to insure consumer safety. Auditors are not holding the company responsible. Once they begin the investigation theyre taking 238 days to complete the investigation. During that fire, students at Vacation Bible School in piedmont were evacuated. Teachers took the students for yogurt and called their parents. New information tonight in the case of two women found dead on mount pies just days apart. The coroner now says their deaths were both accidental. Because the two deaths happened so close together there was concern that a serial attacker might have on the lose. But today an investigator found that the two were accidental deaths. Searchers discovered that 33 yearold glenkowski, she died of hypothermia. The body of 50yearold marie sana died from a head injury. She apparently tumbled off the trail. She was hiking after dark and was not familiar with the trail. They also say she had a blood alcohol level of 1. 2. It happened on interstate 580 west of grant line road near the alta mont pass.
