They are monitoring the beach, ready to help if necessary. This is just another day going out to the beach to surf and i see this kid in the water. Reporter the 17yearold is still processing it all, but firefighters call him a hero. They say a Family Member was playing in the water when two boys, cousins both got swept out by a rip current. The father of one of the teens went in to help. Thats when barbero saw a boy in the water, put him on his surfboard, and paddled in. Then he went out to the adult to help. I grab him by the arm, i dragged him in. Paramedics took it from there, and the kid is in shock. It was like, it happened so fast, i thought he was dead in the water. Reporter paramedics were abe to revive the man and get his pulse going. He was rushed to the hospital. Tony says he never saw the other teen. Tony is also the son of a fire captain. Im a little shocked, but not surprised. Tony is a good kid, and hes always trying to help others. Reporter about 50 firefighters along with the coast guard and park service searched for hours, trying to find the missing teen, 14year old marco cornejo. A lot of sea lions out there, were checking out everything. Reporter firefighters say they tried to comfort the victims family and their thoughts are with them tonight. The man rushed to the hospital was in critical condition. The coast guard has been searching a five mile span all the way up to the golden gate bridge. A 16yearold boy stabbed or slashed 20 students and a Security Officer with two kitchen knives. He was finally tackled, stopped, and arrested. Now the 16yearold suspect is being charged as an adult. Here is alex hribal being led to a police car, while handcuffed and wearing a hospital gown. He is facing four counts of attempted murder, and 21 counts of aggravated assault. The District Attorney says the teenager made comments that he wanted to die. Meanwhile, a dozen fbi agents were seen at his home, searching for any clues as to a possible motive. A witness who followed cullivar claims cullivar confronted him. A reputed oakland gang member is scheduled to be sentenced tomorrow for a shooting that killed innocent people inside a nightclub. Lamar fox was one of two men convicted on two counts of first degree murder, and five counts of attempted murder. The Prosecutor Says fox and Clem Thompkins opened fire three years ago at sweet jimmys. They were targeting rival gang members, but missed. None of the seven victims was in a gang. Thompkins was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole last month. Fox is facing a life sentence. Both of the People Killed in that shooting were young fathers. Reporter a daddy who the 5 yearold was named after, a daddy she resembles. She says the loss of her daughters father is immeasurable. He will never be able to walk her down the aisle when shes getting married. He will never be able to see her out on the track running. Reporter 26yearold Billy Jenkins was shot and killed on april 5, 2011. Like it was yesterday. I definitely remember it. Reporter police say jenkins was among the two killed and five injured when a gang member filed into the club. The victims were innocent bistanders. Just overnight going and becoming a single mother. That has been the biggest challenge. Reporter parks tells me she had planned a future with jenkins. But the shooting shattered their plans of raising the daughter together. She tells us, she didnt have what many of her classmates have. It makes it hard because i see their daddies, but i cant see mine. At her preschool graduation, i did the i love you daddy on the cap, as if he was here. I knew if he was here, he would have been front and center. Members were called upon to save 1yearold lyra kaufman who was sick and onboard a sail boat with her mother, father, and older sister. Vallejo Police Caught up with the suspect near interstate 80 in tennessee. They say he sped into this crowded shopping center. Watched from a nearby hair salon. He tried to go outside by the police vehicle. And then hit car. Reporter police say the suspect rammed a Police Cruiser over and over again. The vehicle got stuck. Officers say the suspect revved the engine, trying to free himself. Officers say his vehicle was pointed directly at a family in this cadillac. Officers say if he freed the suv, he would have barreled right into them. That vehicle would have come straight for him. Who knows what could have happened. The officers did not take immediate action. Reporter police tell me that the suspect did not have any identify on him. They dont know who he was. The officers that fired into that suv and killed the suspect are on paid leave, which is standard while the shooting is investigated. The groups sat outside bella vista elementary, where last month, a 6yearold student reporting about sexually assaulted across the street by a stranger. Its not going to bring rain, but as it moves to the coast, its going to release that inversion, and allow more clouds to push inland, and slightly cooler. At the coast in the 50s. This is a summer like pattern. It warms up a little bit. Youre going to see temperatures starting to climb, not to the 90s, but back into the mid70s, upper 70s, and start tweaking on the low 80s toward brentwood. Instead of those very warm upper 80s, that we saw just a couple of days ago, were looking at mid70s, upper 70s tomorrow. So thursday, just like today. Friday, slightly cooler as this system comes to the coast, and sets the stage for the weekend with a few more clouds. A little more coastal fog, maybe a little bit of drizzle somewhere. 80 in vacaville tomorrow. Still warm. 81 in the brentwood area. These temperatures about where they were today. And a little cooler on friday. So just going to be a nice pattern. The big changes, that big amount of fog.
