Why go in the water with these crocs . One, because i love animals. It was one of my dreams. So the dream came true, and im really happy about. So you know this guy, roberta . Yes, i know him very well. Jumping off buildings is no problem for you, but come on, face to face with a croc, your heart must have been going. To be honest, it was very, very scary. What a lot of people dont realize is how dangerous crocodiles actually are. Because sharks, everyone thinks shark attack, shark attack, but theres only about 25 fatalities worldwide by sharks. Yet theres about 2,000 fatalities by crocodiles. That gives you kind of a little idea. And theres a lot more people around sharks than crocodiles. Yeah, she did it, but she did it under very specific conditions with people protecting her, you know, and people who knew the area and understand their behavior. After about two hours, we started to see them in the water. What else is on your bucket list . The anaconda, polar bears, hippos. Hippos. Yeah. Oh, really . The crocodiles, not the hippos, huh . What is it like being such a powerful, courageous person . Its not always good because people think im just insane, but i try to do everything, you know, in a professional way and stay alive. She is the most hardcore person ive ever met in my life, male or female. So that says something. Ive never met someone whos willing to do more seriously dangerous things. Youll see this much smaller bull going head to head against a much bigger bull. Its like practice with his son. Kind of like going out and playing catch, maybe. Thats a good boy. Come on. Oh i dont know if that rider actually got hit or not. When i useded to dirt bike, i was off the dirt bike nonstop. Once you get those few falls out of the way, okay, lets go for it. Hes about to do that hand stand. Thats called a hand stand cutthrough 2 1 2 reverse. This is one of the things i became kind of famous for early in my career. Where low altitude acrobatic maneuvers. How did you practice . I did a lot of highdive training at usc. I trained with him in the pool and then took it to high cliffs and bridges. Then after i finally had it perfected in a safe environment, i was then able to bring it to this area which is absolutely unacceptable, and you should never, ever even remotely think about doing that. You can only get arms length away. As you push yourself off the cliff, this is as far as you can get. Isnt base jumping enough . To add in the handstand, flippityfloppity floo. It blows my mind. At this time in my career it was all about pushing the boundaries. And just joumping off was no longer good enough. You always want to do better, go faster, get stronger. Well, this is probably one of the more complicated acrobatic maneuvers ive done this is a triple front half twist double back half twist double front. I actually started taking what i was learning in high diving, then taking it to larger cliffs and then doing really complicated acrobatics. You started off base jumping and then came wingsuits. Yes. And perhaps one of your best known videos is known as grinding the crack. When you watch this, you do realize im aiming for a balloon thats on a string. And the string is five feet long. Oh, come on. It must feel so exhilarating. The perception, like what you feel is that youre actually flying. It is a very powerful feeling, without a doubt. When you watched it back, did you realize how special it was . I had never seen anything quite like it, and i hit my target. I was aiming for this fivefoot string about this wide from over a mile away. Crazy you could perceive that at that speed. As youre flying, everything slows down.
