Named nicole is an extraordinary event because in 1975 nicole was kidnapped. Now hear about the incredible odyssey that led her back home. To actually have it happen was it was surreal. And a little dingy, a lasso, and, well, as youll see, this is one rescue thats just not that easy. This next video takes you to a place where no man has no, check that, where this man has gone before. Jeff mackley is an adventure list and this is a lava lake at the bottom of ambren island. Its a chain of volcanic islands in the south pacific. He is standing at the edge of a volcanic area that is 2100 degrees fahrenheit. Hes wearing a heat resistant suit. Hes also wearing breathing apparatus to be there. Took them an entire expedition, about 35 days to achieve this. They had to run a string of ropes down into the crater of this volcano, withstand crummy weather. No man has stood where he has. If you slip and fall, youre toast. He looks like hes standing on the surface of the sun. So explain what it feels like to stare is jeff mackley. Its only truly hot when youre on the edge. We did a test and looked over the edge without the breathing apparatus and the suit. You could stand the heat for roughly six seconds and then you had to run away. Jeff, how close did you get to the lava. Probably 80 feet. What is your body feeling . What are you seeing . Whats the experience like . People have said it looks like youre standing on the surface of the sun and you might as well be able to be there. I was able to withstand the heat for 40 minutes until the air and breathing apparatus tank ran out. It was an out of world experience. Were you worried about your equipment in these extreme conditions . We took the video camera halfway down the cliff in the first few days we had good weather because its such an enormous climb back out each time. We decided to leave the camera down there and we sealed it in a special equipment bag so, yeah, the camera was hanging down there on a rope for like two weeks. After that we got the camera and got it out of its bag it worked perfectly. Did you do that because you just wanted to be the first . There are very few places on earth, if any, that you can go and stand and say i am the first person to ever stand here. You know, more people have been on the moon than have been down there. This video is absolutely going to blow you away. It was shot by a fisherman off the coast of Northern Ireland on a fishing boat called the tribute. As the camera shows us the ocean, you see another fishing boat. And that fishing boat is in trouble. Thats, in fact, a prong troller. Oh, man. Halfway down already. That thing is halfway down already, nick. In fact, according to reports, a fire in the engine is what caused this problem. There are two fishermen on board this vessel. This fishing boat thats in distress is called the snow d n downia and downia it goes. What about the crew members . Theyre hanging on for as long as they can to avoid the water. Luckily they do have on life preservers. Luckily this other boat was so close by. Yes. They are incredibly lucky. The tribute, they ended up calling the coast guard saying, hey, look, were rescuing some guys off of this fishing boat that is headed down. Now watch as the ship just sinks below the surface of the water. Wow. And you see the two fishermen get out of the ships way. You know thats their entire livelihood that just went down like that. The coast guard came into action. The from dublin. Watch this second video as a coast guard helicopter comes in to air lift these two men to a local hospital. Now the two fishermen, they were able to walk in for treatment and were discharged and able to walk out. No serious injuries as a result of this fishing boat going down. One of the best parts of this video, after they get the guy safely on board the helicopter, the fishermen from the tribute are super excited. There they are. They fumble. They should be excited. They just rescued and saved the lives of two people. Im going to tell you a sad yet happy story. These images are of nicole kolverhouse. She is hanging out with her familyn columbia, but this is the first time after 36 yea that ecause in 1975 nicole was kidnapped from a park where she was playing out with her brother. She was adopted from an orphanage in colombia and ended up with an American Family in the united states. On the 70th anniversary of the orphanage where she was adopted from she decided she was going to go back. She reached out to a blog called see colombia travel. When they heard her story they actively helped nicole find her family, and this is the moment wherefore the first time she sees her family again. Wow. Whoa. Meet my family. These are my mother and father and my brothers and sisters. How old was she when she was kidnapped . She was four years old when she was kidnapped. Thats old enough to have some memories. She was very aware. She apparently had an argument with her brother and he walked away and thats when she was kidnapped. This moment when shes reunited with her brother has special meaning for her because he was the last person that she saw before she was kidnapped. Right this minute from california, we have nicole and her daughter jordan. Nicole, what was that moment like . I dreamed about it for so long and then to actually have it happen, it was surreal. Do you remember being kidnapped . I do. The woman was very nice to me. She said, why are you crying . I said, well, because my brother left me. You know, those words just haunted me all these years because i thought, well, did she think i was abandoned . My mother had a vending booth there so she was within earshot and even eye shot. She went looking for me, and at this point i was already gone. Do you feel like you have two big families now . Everybodys been so gracious and loving on both sides. Its made it a really wonderful experience. Now one of the people that helped make this reunion happen is see colombia travel. Why did you want to see her help her family . I have a 10monthold daughter. When she started sharing her story, it went to my heart. Two bicyclists were riding by this canal and they see a baby deer in the water. I saw this young deer stuck and we couldnt keep going. We called everybody we could think of to come out. They called authorities and at first nobody was coming but a tv cameraman finally convinced the firefighters to come out and the rescue commenced. They went out on a little raft. A little dinghy. It took them an hour to lasso this fellow. He must have been exhausted. There was no way to get up the edges. The deer seemed to be lethargic and out of energy. He got a lot of energy. It was scared and was probably having an adrenaline rush watching these people trying to catch him. He doesnt know theyre trying to help. After about an hour it finally got tired enough where they were able to capture it and they tranquilized it so they could check on it and then rerelease it out into another area. Wow. Im just real impressed with everyone, that they came out and put this effort forth to rescue this deer. Its great. I think that deer is probably going to steer clear of the canal from now on. I think so. No more drinks of water from the cement pond. Yeah, right. A wild animal lurks in the brush. Leopard, my friend. See why hes king of the jungle after this takedown. Oh, yes. And adventure divers squeeze into narrow caves. And it is terrifying. Meet the cave diver with all the answers. Its not as bad as you think it is. You cant be claustrophobic though. The law of the jungle. Kill or be killed. Only the strong survive. All the other things they say about the law of the jungle. Got to warn you, this video can be a little tough to watch. What do you see lurking in the brush . Leopard. A beast spotted beast. A leopard, my friends, but hes not there just hanging out in the shade. Hes lurking because he hears something a coming. Oh he will take it down. Its something right out of professional wrestling. A herd of impalas, not chevy impalas, impalas, a in the anals, come flyi guy. He leaps and takes it down and then begins tossing it around like its a rag doll. This is what happens in nature. The deer was like, youve got to be kidding me. Im going to practically run over this death machine. The leopards like, okay, the hard parts over. Now ive just got to drag this guy down the road here so i can have a little lunch. This is the way the jungle works but its so sad when it happens. This kind of stuff happens all the time. This kind of stuff is happening right this minute. Yeah. And it just happens to be a really great video. Im going to ask you all to take a very deep breath and try to put aside your fears of confined spaces. Im going to take you cave diving. This is castle rock cave in fennemore, wisconsin. That teeny little hole in the rock where the water is gushing from is where these divers are heading straight into. It is terrifying. I never thought i had a fear of confined spaces until i started watching it. This video is about 11 minutes long and these divers, tamara thompson, and paut lothery, are squeezing themselves into the teeniest little trenches beneath the earth and its freaking you out, isnt it . It is. These are the air tanks. This is called no mount diving. Theyre pushing their air tanks in front of them, through the path that theyre trying to go. That right there shows you how small the space is. The fact that they cant even wear their air tanks, they have to push them in first and follow the air tanks through. The other crazy part about this is theres a photographer down there shooting all of this. His name is Richard Dreyer. He is the photographer taking video of these guys. Watch this part. This space gets so small he has to take off his helmet to get through. Are you kidding me . How do they get out . How do they turn around . You cant turn around and you are yo in there and youre stuck and its small. To answer some of the questions that we have we have photographer Richard Dreyer joining us right now from skype. Richard, were freaking out from watching this video. Youve got to tell me what it feels like to be down there. Well, its a little tight. Its not as bad as you think it is once you get inside. You cant be claustrophobic though. How do you get out . You cant turn around. They call it the fivepoint turn. You have to find a little hole to stick a leg in, another little hole to stick your arm in, another hole to stick your head in and you kind of wiggle back and forth until you kind of get yourself turned around and head back out. You mean to tell me that theres no big, open cavern that youre crawling to get to, its just a tiny hole going in and coming out . If there is a big hole, we havent found it at the end. The original reason that it was explored was to find dry cave and dry passage at the end, but weve explored about 500 feet and it just keeps getting tighter and tighter. What do you do when you finally make it out . A big sigh of relief. Noodles or todayleles. Hes so tired he says let me go. To sleep or to eat. Next with these twins. And thats right.
