An active search is underway in vallejo for a missing woman who police say is being held for ransom. Sal castanedo is live in vallejo and has just heard from police. What are they telling you about her disappearance. Reporter they havent said a lot. They have described this investigation as a full court press. Police say they have help from the fbi. They have agents here helping the Vallejo Police to search for this woman. This morning, police are searching for an area near mare island for this woman, 29year old denise hoskins, a physical therapist. The abduction yesterday was first reported to police by a man who lives at a house on kirkland avenue where the woman was reportedly taken earlier monday morning. He has not been identified by police. Police say there has been a ransom demand made. Police say hoskins was taken away in a car, found later at an undisclosed location in vallejo. Police wont say why the man who reported the abduction waited for almost 12 hours to call them. He was essentially saying that female, mrs. Huskins, was forcibly taken against her will from the residence. Reporter but thats all police will say. Its not clear if the man couldnt call them or just didnt. Police also wont say if he has any relationship to her but neighbors say hes the womans boyfriend and they lived together at the house. Police say as far as the car used in the abduction, its a white toyota camera with license plate 4 gqa 436. Police are asking anyone who saw the car or suspicious activity, to call them. We do know that a credible ransom demand has been made. We know who the woman is. We do know that she is still missing. But as you know, tori, in investigations like this police often wont release all of the details, for example, its very curious as to why that man didnt call the police right away. We can only speculate as to why that is. But police are still searching and they do have a lot of help in this case. The big rig filled with 20 tons of gravel toppled over yesterday and it landed on a car parked in a driveway killing a 32yearold woman inside. Neighbors say they called 911 and ran over to help as soon as they saw what happened. It was terrible. It was like metal on metal scraping real loud and men yelling, oh, my god. No, no, no. And then heard a big crash and then i heard a horn honking. Bun one of the workers one of the workers was trying to dig her out of the car. Family and friends identified the woman as lindsey combs, she had a 4yearold daughter. Police say combs was in her car because the truck driver had just asked her to move it. The 16yearold told a teacher was walking to school when a man tried to grab her. She got away. Then he got out of his car and she ran. Another girl came forward about a similar experience last month.
