This is his community. You know, he he never wanted any of this to happen. He certainly his hes heartbroken by the continuous violence thats been going on. Michael browns parents say they were blindsided by todays announcement and call it the old game of smoke in mirrors. The county Health Department expects there to be more cases and want people to take precautions so they dont get bitten by mosquitoes infected. This year, they really need to sort of take it up a notch and that means that dawn and dusk when mosquitoes are likely to be flying, you should wear an insect repellent if you are gonna be outside. You should wear long sleeves and long pants to prevent being bitten. Reporter he well, last year vector well, last year, Vector Control saw most activity in milpitas and east san jose. Brian flores is live to tell us how the shelter is hoping to track down the people responsible. Reporter good afternoon, tori. The Marin Humane Society says they have way too many cats and they are look fogger the people responsible not to get them in trouble but to offer them help. Cute and cuddly for sure. The marin ha main society doesnt have a shortage of cats and kittens. We have 193 cats and kittens which is an extremely big at for us at the shelter. Reporter its the way they received the cats, however, that is drawing attention. The most recent dropoff happened early monday morning before 5 00. Surveillance camera footage from the shelter shows two people in a white suv dropping off several boxes of cats and kittens. 24 felines in total. One of the people then rings the doorbell, then both take off. About 15 minutes later, the cats were discovered by one of the patrol officers for the shelter. We dont know. It could be somebody who yes, starts to collect cats and doesnt think to get them spayed or neutered. They were likely kept indoors so perhaps the person doesnt know the situation they have. Reporter they say when the cats were dropped off, they were in Good Condition but they say its really important to find the people that did drop them off. So we can stop them from continuing to breed these cats and kittens. Its not a responsible thing to continue to breed this amount of cats when you dont have homes for them and space for them. Reporter shelter officials recognize the car and say the same situation happened three previous times. In total, 100 tuxedo cats and a few gray ones have been dropped off by the same people over a period of 18 months. Shelter officials have been very busy, vaccinating, spaying, neutering, microchipping each one. They want the people responsible to know they are not in trouble. They are all pretty well socialized. No fleas, no diseases. We will microchip and spay and neuter. We try to make the adoption process as easy as possible.
