Kidnap a teenage girl. She fought back. This is the third attempted kidnapping in the city in about a month. Now live from Hayward Police department with more on this investigation. Well police its possible that the two attempted kidnappings could be the work of the same predator involved in yesterdays incident. They say he forced the girl inside his car but she was brave enough to fight him off. A report of yet another attempted kidnaping in broad daylight. Police say a 16yearold girl walking home from school was grabbed by a man and forced into the backseat of a white car. It happened at about 3 45 on friday. I just dont like leaving my kids alone. Its very concerning. Police released the sketch of the attacker who they say got on top of the girl in the backseat of the can car and brought out a gun. She fought back and got off and ran we very proud of her for the way she reacted to this. Neighbors stay area can be dangerous for students after school because of the traffic. But they had no idea about the attack. Its awful to think that happens in this neighborhood. I just substitute teach sometimes at hayward high, if Something Like this happened, i would tell the students be a little more careful. The first two separate incidents were reported also involveing a man targeting teenage girls and driving a white car. Police say its pose believe the predators could be the possible the predators could be the same. For a kid to actually react like that, its great. Im grateful the girl is well and fine. Again uh i say i hope they find him. Heres one more look at the sketch just released of this suspect. They say the map is described as hispanic or east indian possibly in his mid 20s. The white car is described as a prius or a chevy volt. Again investigators are thinking it could be the same man lib linked for all three case link to all three cases. That sketch is really going to become very important in this investigation. Investigators are looking into the deaths of two men in violent incidents outside two different bay area nightclubs. San jose police say a man was critically injured this morning. He later died at the hospital. San jose police are not releaseing that victims name. In union city two men have been arrested in connection with the shooting of a man outside the bar. Police have not released the name of the victim or those two men who were arrested. Santa clara firefighters rescued a man who fell 200 feet down a cliff. It happened around 8 00 this morning. Crews were able to get that victim on foot. He was loaded into a rescue basket and then hauled up the hill. An ambulance took the victim to the hospital. They did not release the extent of his injuries with easter approaching Animal Rights activists staged a demonstration today. The farm animal noun as animal place brought a large cage. This morning hundreds of people climbed up 52 flights of stairs as part of the fight for air fundraiser. We tackled 1,197 steps. The event is the American Lung associations largest event of the year. They said they expected all of the people that you see there lined up to raise at least 300,000. Well lake tahoe may be seeing cleaner air in the near future. This week they won a 200,000 grant to figure out where to add charging staying for electric cars. They say theyre not only important for locals, they are key to make sure bay area drivers can get a charge as they head to the lake. An event that happens only twice a year, about 200 visitors had a unique opportunity in taking part in feeding some of the animals. People bring in two or three watermelons, a bag of carrots.
