All of this started last tuesday when a tree damaged a gas line and pg e crews were at the complex all day today working to fix the problem. Ktvus Azenith Smith is live that apartment complex. You spoke to the city about why it took so long to bring back the hot water. The city says it boils down to communication. It hasnt been a quick mix, leaving families frustrated frustrated and wondering why it took so long. A long six days. They have had to boil water so the children could take a bath. It is frustrating. Especially, you know, when there is no assistance or any vouchers. Reporter all the children want is one thing. I want to take a shower. Reporter he and 35 other units in san jose inconvenienced without hot water after a wind storm tuesday damaged a gas line. It wasnt till monday morning pg e crews arrived to restore service. After relighting a pilot light crews found gas wasnt coming through right away delaying service even more. They didnt learn till after the tree fell there was a problem. Reporter she says the Property Owners didnt notify the city till late friday. Once the repairs were done they were able toissue work permits to issue work permits. Contact the city right away when there is a gas repair taking place. Reporter i reached out to the owner and was told over the phone no comment. Communication. Crews are already working to remove harmful chemtuals but the develop chemicals but the developer also requested the permit to implode Candlestick Park. They are worried about the dust plume it could create. They are not taking into consideration, the environmental harms and the hazards and damage they will do to the community.
