They were shocked that figures of 200 a day to provide for these young people. White house officials told republicans it cost 10 million a day for care for all of the children. President obama is asking for 3. 7 billion to respond to the crisis. Republicans are pushing for quick deportation and some want to rewrite a 2008 Immigration Law that grants asylum to illegal minors. I do not believe they need a change in legislation to provide due process for all of the children that we are talking about. Nancy pelosi says if republicans want to change any law she hopes they will work on a comprehensive Immigration Reform bill. Congress has two weeks to come up with a solution before a august recess.
