The same crime was committed now he would likely get 25 years to life. Friends and family of the victim left court today without comment. A richmond woman is in jail today in connection with the killing of his wife. Paramedics responded but were unable to save the 37yearold man. The woman is the victims girlfriend and that they live together. Investigators believe the stabbing was as a result of alcohol. Stow suffered a life changing brain injury when two dodgers fans attacked him in the parking lot at dodger stadium. That theres no remorse, that he didnt learn anything from going to prison. Reporter nelson suffered a permanent brain injury and other disabilities after she and her husband were struck by a car as they bicycled five years ago. The suspect left the scene. Shiro was later convicted for the crime. At the time she was on probation and his license had been revoked. He left me on the side of the road with my brain bleeding. Reporter he was ordered not to drink. The Sheriffs Department says about two weeks ago witnesses heard schiro refuse a cab and then he got into a car. When Police Arrested him he seemed highly intoxicated. Have some remorse, learn from your mistakes. Reporter schiros attorney and several of his friends that sat in court all declined to comment. Schiro is being held in county jail. His bail is being set at 15,000. More details now about the states dui laws and penalties for drivers 21 and over a first offense could result in a four month suspension of your driving privileges. A second or subsequent offense within 10 years will result in a one year suspension. Its important to note that every case is different and these suspensions are in addition to any other potential penalties including fines or jail time. They tested 1,000 people who dont have dementia and determined those who developed alzheimers also had a special combination of 10 proteins in their blood. Reporter she came down to protest the new law, fearing it will lock people in mental hospitals. A mentally illman refused efforts by his family to seek treatment. What lauras law is the exception of the rule. Reporter lauras law allows family members and others to petition the department of Public Health to bring in an individual to compel treatment. Similar ordnances nationwide have lowered homelessness, arrests and psychiatric evaluations.
