Youre still getting soaked. We had these cells where it was dumping on us, and now were in a steady rain for the last couple of minutes. Weve seen sun, clouds, rain. Weve heard reports of thunder and lightning like you mentioned. We even saw a little bit of hail. What you saw depending on what you say and where you were. It was almost like someone had a faucet up there and they were turning it on and off throughout the day. We even had a brief hailstorm that we did experience. That came with a noticeable temperature drop. But that pea sized hail it just melted as soon as it hit the pavement. We talked to a couple of people with differing opinions about our spring showers. Yeah, the rain is great. Im waiting for more thunder. We dont get it too much. Mother earth needs a shower too you know. Im tired of it already. We havent had that much. I know but when you had to drive to santa rosa its not a good idea. It stayed dry all day and i get on the freeway and its going to pour. Right now youre looking at the san rafael bridge as people go to san rafael county. It is a soggy commute. So if youre about to jump in the car to head home or go out for the evening be careful out there on the roads. Lots of spray and give yourself extra lee time. We talked to several people today who said that although there was some inconvenience, this rain was needed for the drought. And now to the latest on the arrest of senator yee. Reporter the fbi has made it clear this is an Ongoing Investigation and today it became apparent theyre still looking at possible evidence. Nearly a week after it rained at leland yees capital office, fbi agents raided another Office Associated with the suspended state senator whos charged with wire fraud and arms trafficking. We told the fbi, we let them know that we found this office and we thought that we wanted to make sure they had all the information that they needed. Reporter a yee assistant shares the office with other senate staff that are not part of the investigation. The fbi was focused on paper work and a computer used by yees assistant. We spent a couple of hours looking through the office, looking through the computer. Reporter today appeared in federal court in San Francisco on a 250,000 bond hearing. He is considered a central character in the case. His charges range from drugs and arms trafficking to a murder for hire. There is no murder, there is no crime, its all in the mind of an fbi agents. He told his father he was going to snow board to the bottom but never made it off the mountain. His dad said his son is physically fit and was carrying the necessary equipment to hopefully survive the cold. Another search this one for a missing 93yearold man has now come to an end. His car was found today down an embankment down the north bay. He was last seen february 26th after being seen with his daughter. He drove off headed for his home in san rafael. Today after more than a month his car was found off highway 1 just north of molinas which is nowhere near where he lived. Ktvus tom vacar near the scene now. Tom who found the car . Reporter it was an inspector doing the most simple of inspections. What he did was simply look down. And this is the situation that developed. At midmorning a caltrans Road Condition inspector walking on the shoulder of highway 1 discovered a car down a steep hill 100 to 200 feet down the southbound lane. Initial reports indicate the air bags had been deployed and the car was open with no one inside. The inspector called the chp with the cars information and was soon matched up with the san rafael missing persons report of 93yearold robert davis who had been missing since the ends of february. Responders then found a body which was brought up the road and transferred to the coroners van. They were successful in finding remains. They will work on identify which we do not have at this time. Reporter now that probably means the victim was able to get out of the car. At least was out of the car at the time and may have indeed died of exposure. That will certainly be discovered during the autopsy. Everyone as we speak right now. A huge wrecker is trying to pull the car up, up the side of the road. The descriptions were slightly different in the two incidents. One was a white male. The other was described as hispanic. Police want to hear from anyone with information about the incident or the attackers. A plan to create a registry of private surveillance cameras is moving forward. Council member sam lacardo proposeed the idea after home surveillance videos helped lead to the arrest of a suspected serial arsonist. The data base would be voluntary and backers say it will save police valuable time because they will already know who has a surveillance camera and in the event of a crime they wont have to go door to door asking people. President obama spoke from the rose garden to announce that numbers beat the original projections. The numbers though dont include thousands that have signed up on state exchanges in the final day before the deadline. The white house says the age break down includes enough Young Healthy people to keep premiums under control. I will always work with anyone whos willing to make this law work even better. But the debate over repealing this law is over. The Affordable Care act is here to stay. Republicans still want specifics on just how many Young Healthy people have signed up. Everywhere i look it is covered in green and even embedded thunderstorms. Continuing to push to the east as i speak. Looking at just the western edge of the valley begining to see that rain. You can see here an overview of whats happening. Wet everywhere. The Northern Edge of sonoma counties. Looks like we have a break on the backside here. So we are beginning to see at least a break from this steady rain that will continue to push to the east. Move through the Central Valley and then up the hill to the sierra where it will bring us more snow. Giving you a look here, areas like antioch, oakley, brentwood, lightning firing over this area. And the rainfall rates pretty moderate to heavy at times. Looks like. 3 of an inch an hour has moved through the area. Highway4 a messy commute to this afternoon. It doesnt matter what highway youre on. It is likely to be wet. We can take a look over the north bay where the rain is generally light but still coming down. Our bridges are wet, from the richmond san rafael, the golden gate, the dumbarton. Its just very widespread. The rain continuing to fall at this hour. Im seeing a little bit of rain. Right along that area. Along that stretch of 580, 880 seeing moderate rain at this time. Backing up just a bit. This will move through and we will be left with scattered showers for the evening hours. Right now the snow continuing to fall over the sierra. This morning we woke up with snow levels down to about 3,000 feet but it looks lightning right now snow levels hovering around 1,000 feet. So if i show you whats going on offshore, this is the storm weve been tracking. Its been out here for quite some time. But it is slowly working its way closer to the bay area.
