Reporter as you can tell he has a sense of humor about the incident. He was on a a. C. Transit bus when someone set his skirt on fire. He attempted to put out the flames but that made it worse. My second reaction, i went back to my kindergarten class, top, drop and roll. I start rolling around and other passengers started tomming on the flame stomping on the flames. Reporter he spent the last 24 days in the burn unit at the San Francisco hospital. The boy who set him on fire, he remains in jail. You could know better than to light someones clothes on fire. I think you should be able to realize that is not just a funny prank. Reporter she facing felony he is facing felony charges but his attorney made a motion to move the case to juvenile court, Sasha Fleischmans family agrees with the move. People do dumb things. You know . Especially when they are teenagers. They are an incredible family. Reporter he is with a group to educate school kids. Just getting dangerous here. Reporter the suspect ran around the corner, carjacking a van. He then led San Jose Police on a pursuit. Heading the wrong way on the interstate and veering into a neighborhood. We saw the driving like that we know there is something really wrong. Reporter as you can see from news chopper 2 the driver ended up on a front lawn here. The officer attempted to stop the suspect. The suspect rammed the officer. The officer feared for his life and fired at the suspect. The driver was fatally shot, crashing the van into a tree. Detectives are investigating the case. Reporter police arent sure what prompted the stabbing this morning but say the suspect might have known the victims. Police say the couple kept the girls isolated. In one room 12 and 13yearold, 17 in another. Doors and windows armed with alarms and surveillance cameras. And speakers that blared loud music 24 7. For meals the girls were fed once a day on a single set of dishes that were never washed. They claimed to live in california and acted vague whenever eeveryone anyone asked about the girls.
