Yosemite National Park officials tell us they shut down a campground close to say the fire. It is at the highway 120 entrance. Police officer is under arrest tonight and he may be facing a serious charge. New at 5 00 p. M. A San FranciscoPolice Officer was arrested tuesday by concord Police Officers and was suspended by the San FranciscoPolice Department. Both Police Police departments are refusing to name the officer or the specifics. But we have learned it involve involve as involves a molestation investigation. There is an offduty officer arrested for alleged criminal conduct. The officer is currently suspended pending the investigation. Reporter we reached out to a number of different organizations about what is going on. The San FranciscoPolice Officers association did not return our call and a member of the Police Commission that over sees allegations said the case is not yet come before them. The whereabouts of the officer are unclear now. He was not booked into jail after his arrest and the District Attorney says that case hasnt come before them yet either. The San FranciscoPolice Department reeling over the suicide of a former deputy chief. He was found dead last night. Officials say he was inside an suv in the parking lot with a self inflicted gun shot wound. He was with the San FranciscoPolice Department for 32 years. A man was shot and killed in oakland this afternoon. Police say it happened on 99th avenue. Officers arrived at the scene of the shooting at 1 30 p. M. And that is where they found the man. He was taken to the hospital but did not survive. No one has been arrested. Tour bus crash in Southern California injured 55 people about 10 00 a. M. On interstate 210 east of the 605. Witnesses saw the bus break hard at 70 miles per hour. The driver lost control and the bus flipped over. Other drivers stopped to help get the passengers out of the bus. Injuries range from minor to moderate. The bus companys owner said the bus was on its way to a casino after making up passengers. An over turned big rig caused a major traffic back up this afternoon on eastbound 780 and it closed the on and off ramps ramps for several hours. No one was injured. More data points that are feeding into the system. So the information that is available on 511 is expected to be fresher and more accurate. Reporter mtc says you can check online or call 511 and you can specify an area or ask for drive times on 511. Bay bridge construction crews today worked on the new bicycle and pedestrian path. 2 3 will open september 3 along with the new eastern span of the bay bridge. Once the old bridge is depaulished the entire demolishedished the entire bike path will be completed. It will be a mixed use path for bicycles, pedestrians and rollerbladers. Chp officers will patrol the bridge on bicycles to make sure people are using the path safely. There wont be separation between the pedestrian and bicycle portion aside from different painted roadways. It will be important to travel safely. Go at the right speed. Dont pass unsafely. Caltrans hopes to have the bike lane from oakland to the island completed by next year or early 2015. A. C.
