Hundreds of dog lovers in San Francisco are making their feelings known about a plan to put tougher restrictions on their dogs. The National Parks service wants to limit dog walking without a leash and the golden in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area but organizers of the mighty mutt march say dog walking is only allowed in certain areas. Just one of the land. They say the new rule would eliminate about 98 of that space. New overnight history is made at Moffett Field in mountainview. The Solar Impulse 2, solar powered plane attempting to fly around the world successfully landed shortly before midnight. The threeday journey from hawaii is considered the most dangerous part of the flight because its the largest stretch of open water in the world with very few Emergency Landing sites. New this morning, just learning more about the gunman who shot and injured two students outside a prom in wisconsin. Police identified him as 18 yearold jacob wagner. Police say he showed up at the prom with a rifle last night and shot a boy and girl as they were leaving. Police happened to be patrolling the parking lot at the time. They heard the shots and then fired back hitting that gunman. He decides early this morning at the hospital died early this morning at the hospital. The community is safe at this point. Also a lot of investigation to worry about. Were also looking at the victims and hope everything comes through ok with them. Police say one of the victims is now undergoing surgery but his injuries are not life threatening. The girl was treated and released from the hospital already. All the other students at the prom were safely escorted out of the building. Police are still trying to figure out a motive for the shooting. San mateo police need your help finding a man who is caught on camera breaking into a home. Police say this man hit that home on eaton road, apparently ran off though shortly after the homeowner confronted him. Hes described as 510, weighing about 180 pounds. Police believe he may also be connected to two other burglaries in the area. Golden state getting ready for game four at 12 30 today against houston. Its kinds of a funny story. He went to a air show years ago and he watched one start. He says im going to buy one of those. Back in 1992 or 1993 he found this one and bought it. It still flies. Yeah. Were going to fly it today, 11 00. Can you show us around . What are some of the interesting historic features . In this plane . This aircraft was in the Second World War in corsica at the end of the floor flying bombing missions. They are supposed to be three this one and two others, that were actually in the Second World War and we fly this thing, we try to fly it every weekend how does it it flies just like it did . Yes. 60 years ago . Yes. Or 60 plus, 70 almost 70 years. Yeah. Basically the aircraft is ready to go. You were showing us something inside. Week actually walk inside here. What was this area for . This is the bomb p bay here. Carrying the bombs, carable of carrying 3,000 pounds worth of bombs. These are replica bombs. What is neat is we have a signature of one of the axle doolittle raiders, ed signed our airplane about five years ago. And i believe he is still alive. Theres only he and ybe two others that are still alive from the Second World War. Why is it worthwhile for people to come out and see Something Like this . Well, its a piece of history. Students from San Franciscos Bayview District got a rare opportunity this past spring break, they traveled to ghana for an educational trip meant to help teens get back with their roots and giving to local kids in need. Part of a dispran Police Program called operation genesis. Youre back. We talked to you before you left and youve done it before. An amazing trip for these kids to take, 20 of you went. 12 kids. Im going to start with you though. You just got back. What did you think . It was amazing. When i first got there it was everything that i didnt expect and more. Like, being there was an eye opening experience definitely. Like, the people were so nice. So host pillable. Had you ever been out of the country before . No, my first time. On a plane . Yes. Some people hadnt even been on a plane before. When you hear that what do you think . You founded this program to really kind of give a new perspective for teens and young people. Thats what you want to hear, right . Right. Absolutely. How was it . Was it different from the past trips youve taken . Yeah. We had a few Different Things this time. It was great. Tell me the goal of operation genesis. The goal is to expose the kids to their culture, where they came from. And what took place for africans to be here in america. Then to get the community involvement. The kids understanding their value and then understanding the power working together. To accomplish whatever goal they have. What do you want them to do when they get back from this trip . What do you hope they take with them and how they push that forward . The goal is unity. Understanding who they are, getting along is a big thing. Parents involvement. Just giving back to the other kids that didnt have the opportunity to go. Even the younger kids, just explaining to them the importance of taking advantage of the opportunity that they have. Take me through some of the video here. What was this experience like . So, we went to villages, the villages were pretty awesome. That was definitely a part that, definitely is going to stay with me forever. The villages were awesome. The kids were so nice. They ran up to you and wanted to take pictures with you, hug you. They were super friendly. It was amazing how they walked up to you. And the food. The food was good. Like stuff i never had before. It was really good. The food was really, really natural. In America Everything has preservatives and all that. To actually eat natural food taken off a tree and right into the pot was really good. The food didnt sit well with me when i got back home and got back to the normal stuff i ate but it was good when i was out there. What did you think it would be like . I didnt think it would be that different besides the poverty level. Everyone was super nice. You dont usually see that they all said hi like a unison hi. Everyone would stop, hi, how are you . Where are you from . Do you feel like a different person coming back . Do you appreciate your history more . Yes. I appreciate definitely my history more and appreciate my parents more. Because before i left i was definitely kind like disrespecting my parents a little bit. I got back and opened up more and talked to them about more stuff. I kind of built a better relationship with both of them and apologized for things did i. Couldnt wait to get back home, on day six it was like i got to get them back home and show ive changed. You tell your parents how much you love them . Yes. This is my unity bone. My favorite gift i brought this back. Unity bone, web you represents in my house you rub it to show our family is a family. We have unity between one another. Awesome. You want to give people other opportunities like this one too. You want this program to continue.
