On the other side is his father with his indian culture, you put them together and you have a very real story of an immigrant father and finding a connection to his son. For the director, this was essentially his life. The main priority for me growing up was trying to fit in. So it feels awesome that we got to make a short with an immigrant family and of color because i didnt see much of that growing up in the 80s. Reporter another short was shown before showing the good dinosaur. This was the first time working with producer nicole grendal. I think we have been a really good team, shall i say a super team . I feel really creative when im working by myself when nobody is looking, so i dont think there was anything in me that wanted to direct. They are very steeped in traditional japanese art but also mixing it with the technical edge which is amazing. They work with like these japan paintings and mix the 3d and it is amazing. Was there a particular reason or thought to bringing this to the city of San Francisco . Well, we are so happy to be part of the bay area and when we were offered the space and we had put on three other exhibitions and was kind of quiet and then they were going to demolish the building and we thought this is the Perfect Place to do it. This is really a community that is embracing it so well and over three weeks we have had over 6500 visitors and they are from all over the bay area, i think it is the right place, right community for this kind of exhibition. The typething that you can talk us through help us understand this is not a picture on the wall . Yeah, one of the pieces that i love the most is its a room called flowers and people and when you walk in the room you are surrounded by flowers and they grow on you and then another part where the butter flies come through and if you touch them they die, so it teaches you a will the about nature.
