They are searching for a suspect in a triple shooting. That scene is clear now. But when Police Arrived about 12 30 pm. And they have seen three people stopped at the intersection one person was dead to others were hurt and the injured were taken to the hospital. There were several shots fired and a dark colored car sped away. And there are asking anyone who saw or heard anything to call richmond police. A bus caught fire in san jose. They tell us, that it was smoking and they tried to extinguish the flames. He was able to get all 16 passengers off of the bus safely. A portion was closed down for a portion of time. And, they have provided another bus, and they continue on to their destination. And another bus operated by them caught fire when it was traveling on 101. It was heading to the casino and was on for and those on board are not hurt. They all appear to be minor injuries. As for this latest fire, the chp will be investigating it. And, there is no word on what caused the fire. San Francisco Police are increasing patrols that the biggest Shopping Mall after the second violent robbery. This latest crime happened on the fourth floor of that mall. Police say that a group of young boys targeted a couple in their 20s. And a meeting with mexican president. It ticked off on tuesday and kicked off on husband and it tuesday and it offers points for people who sit to off hours. You need to be 18 and have a clipper card and a paypal account. It works like this. You are earn one point for each mile you travel on the system. You earn more points, however, if you travel during whats called bonus hours. Those are the times between 6 30 to 7 30 in the morning and 8 30 and 9 30 in the morning, a bulk of the congestion happens during the rush hour between 7 30 and 8 30. If you offer Cash Incentives for people to well their tweak their riding schedule, it will ease over crowding. Will it work . It would be better because in the morning theres more seats, less passengers, so more people left in the morning, it would free up the commute for the rush hour. I can see how that can work. Lets go to the bay bridge toll plaza. You can see the traffic here is backed up. Thats about a 30, 40 minute delay. Really depends on whether youre using fast track or and not what line youre in. The average time is between 30 and 40 minutes before you make it on to the bridge. 7 46. Lets go to steve. Fog out there yesterday was chewed up and today its come roaring back. Now, some students are concerned that this would perpetuate racial profiling on campus sips the information is user generated. The creators say they are working with student groups on campus to make sure that their concerns are addressed. We wiped it out yesterday. I think its here to stay a little bit longer today. Theres just cooler Ocean Temperatures, inland temperatures really warmed up yesterday. Upper 80s to near 90. Today looks like a mix between some that are on the cool side and others that will be on the warm side. Systems continue to work there way to the north. That picks up the breeze a little bit. Look for west 20, almost 30. West at oakland, west at sfo. 50s and 60s. Everyone is close. The coolest temperatures were in the north bay. Theyve rebounded. Novato, 56. Low clouds are in place. Morning fog, nice to mild to warm depending on your proximity to the close. 80s to the interior. 60s, 70s coastal. We have a lot of slow traffic out there especially on 80, but really all the east bay freeways and we also have a south bay problem. Lets start with 80 westbound, its going to take a little bit more than 40 minutes and the traffic is very, very slow coming through the area. When you get to the bay bridge toll plaza, its backed up for about a 40minute delay. There are no problems on the bridge, but thats a lot of waiting to do there. I want to mention a problem on 237 eastbound approaching first street. Theres an accident taking away three lanes. Thats not a typical slow down. People going that way dont normally have slow traffic. This is going to catch a lot of people by surprise. Westbound traffic, which is normally slow, is going to be slow over to 101 and the accident isnt helping because people are looking at it. Well back off the 237 and give you a general Silicon Valley commute look and you can see all the freeways getting into the west valley are jampacked. Lets go back to the desk. We continue to follow developing news about a deadly shooting in richmond. Police say three people were in a car when they were shot at about 12 30 this morning. Police stopped the car in the middle of the intersection. One person is dead. Two others were transported to the hospital. Both of them are expected to survive. Police are trying to figure out who fired the shots. All they know at this point is that a dark colored car drove up quickly from the area right after a witness heard the gunshots. New from overnight, there are questions into what caused a bus to burst into flames on a friday in san jose. The fire happened last night on 880. We have more about it. Reporter there were 17 people on board that bus. Nobody was hurt. That bus was operated by medina tours located right here on 7th street. We have been waiting for the manager to arrive. He hasnt yet. Police say one of the boys hit the male victim in the head when they chased after them. Investigators at this point are reviewing security video. New this morning, we received specific details about a bizarre crash on a from i in San Francisco. Thats right. A car flew off a freeway and dropped 60 feet. Alex is there with what happened here. Reporter good morning. Its really incredible here as we learn more did he pales about this crash details about this crash. The driver was able to walk away after this accident. The chp tells us this man was driving his suv southbound on 280 here in San Francisco exiting at cesar chavez when he lost control of that suv and it flew over the side of the freeway and it fell 60 feet to the ground below. Lock at video look at video of this. The driver was able to get himself out of that suv. He was treated here at the scene for some minor cuts to his arms. According to the chp, he was released. I talked with an officer about just how incredible it was that he survived. You dont normally walk away from a 60foot drop in a vehicle especially when youve been doing freeway speed and not have more serious injuries. So hes a very lucky young man, i would say. And, again, were live at the spot below the freeway where this car landed. It fell 60 feet from that freeway up above. Thats 280 and thats the cesar chavez offramp. Again, we are told this young man in his 20s had just minor cuts after pulling himself out of the wreckage of that car on his own. Again, he miraculously survived this accident, this incredible fall this morning. The chp says they do not believe the young man was under the influence and they dont believe any other cars were involved. Theyre trying to figure out why he lost control. He says somehow his tires lost grip, lost their traction with the road. Thats when he rolled a couple times and went off the freeway. It wasnt raining or anything like that this morning. Police were called about 11 00 last night and were being told the victims were shot and their bodies were discovered deep inside the park. No arrests have been made. The investigation continues. California lawmakers have voted to establish a first of its kind University Program specifically designed to research gun violence. The violence. The state low pressure spend 5 million on it. A senator was one of the political forces. He says researching gun violence is a critical first step in stopping it.
