Wouldnt you like to be a fly on the wall in the white house meeting tomorrow . President obama is going to sit down with Bernie Sanders. The white house made it clear this was at Bernie Sanders request. Now, the president may join this chorus of calls from a number of other democrats that its time for Bernie Sanders to drop out of the race. There is no indication yet he is going to do that. Hillary clinton though very anxious to turn now to the general election, which means going toetotoe with donald trump. Sal, in axl roses defense, he does have a broken left foot. He does. You know what . He sits in a chair and sings now. I think what gasia said is true. I hadnt seen those pictures before the story came up. We have a lot of low clouds in place and there is a really good delta breeze. Higher clouds. I tell you. This time of year, some areas, once you hit 100 degrees, its tough to break that down. I mean, june, the days are long. The nights are short. You need a robust system. Thats what we have coming in. The inland locations are cooling off. Leanne is in the city. We are hovering over the laptop to keep warm in the outer richland. Thats pretty cold. And this was sent to me on facebook, but i sent it out on twitter as well. From carlos ramirez, june gloom aside, you can walk out to sale walk at ocean beach this morning. I had to add that the pending low tide 8 39 helps as well. But there is a big fog bank here. Also the higher clouds are coming in. A little different twist here. I think north bay goes mostly cloudy here. There is a lot of cloud cover moving in. Thats associated that system right there. As that sweeps in, that gives us some drizzle. That lifts that fog and that keeps temperatures really cool for some. Oakland starting off 59, cloudy. It will stay mostly cloudy through the noon hour and maybe a little mix of some low, high clouds and some sun. Only 67 degrees. And that breeze, when its gusting to 35, 40 as it did yesterday at travis, that means sacramento, stockton cools off and even areas up around lake county, Mendocino County have cooled off as well. Starting to. 50s on the temps. A few 60s. Mainly the 50s. The key here is that brentwood, anitoch and pittsburg below that. Black hawk 55. Martirez 58. 49 truckee. 58 sacramento. 58 santa barbara. The fog bank yesterday from almost portland, which has been baking, and seattle, they will get the fog now all the way past san diego. So this is a huge june gloom fog bank in place, and sheer come the here come the highers clouds in northern california, the north bay bay, and thats going to move across that spin in the atmosphere. Swings through and that brings it in. That cooler air aloft, thats the key here. You lose the inversion, which should wipe out the low clouds i think by testimony. When you lose that heat in the valley this time of clear, the low clouds lose their support. The trend is to bring the temperatures down. They will continue to come down. Its been stuck coast and bay. They cant change too much. A little bit cooler on the lows. The highs are 60s or 70s and those arent going anywhere. The inland highs continue to come down through friday. Warmer weather on the weekend. This is when the shops at Fishermans Wharf and pier 39 make their money selling those 40 sweatshirts to unsuspecting tourists who go to walnut creek one day and the city the next and they are unprepared. That is just, i mean, sacramento cooling down. A much cooler process for many. 50s, 60s. Upper peninsula 50s. Too much cloud cover in place. So i wouldnt expect much warming out of this. Inland areas, a lot of high clouds moving into the north. Low overcast. Partly cloudy. Partly sunny. Breezy to downright windy. High clouds in the north. Oakland has been reporting some drizzle. Sal, what do you have for us . A lot of slow traffic, steve. Some commutes have shifted. They were farther away and now more people are into the inner core of the bay area, which makes sense. Lets look at what we have. The commute is going to be busy if you are driving on the nimitz freeway northbound heading up to the coliseum and beyond that arena and to downtown oakland. 580 is slow out of san leandro. The toll plaza, where most people get there, it is improving. The 880 ramps have been completely cleared out. If you want to approach the bridge and you are thinking about 880, hey, there is our spider. We havent seen him in a while. Thinking about 880, that ramp is good heading out to especially if you use the fastrak lanes. Lets talk about the east bay. Southbound is slow to the fremont. Dumbarton and san mateo bridge not bad. 8 02. Back to the desk. We will continue our coverage of californias primary election. The Associated Press declared Hillary Clinton the winner of the democratic primary over Bernie Sanders. Clintons wins yesterday cemented her position as the presumptive nominee for president. Doug luzader with more results and the bigger question. Whats gonna happen next . Reporter yeah, especially when you look at Bernie Sanders. I mean, is he going to concede or keep fighting . Last night it sounds like he is going to carry this fight to the convention. There is a lot of pressure from democrats. A lot of democrats to get Bernie Sanders to drop out of the race and kind of clear the way for Hillary Clinton and allow the party to unite. Sanders has a meeting tomorrow at the white house with president obama. The white house is clear is say this was a meeting that sand requested. But obama may in fact join that chorus of democrats urging sanders to throw in the towel here. We will see how that goes. Hillary clinton doesnt want to hanger Bernie Sanders right now because she needs his supporters to ultimately show up for her at the polls come november. And we already hear donald trump making a play for those same supporters. There is theoretically some overlap there. Everyone is turning to the general election. Not entirely clear what Bernie Sanders plans include now. Doug, when you reported about an hour ago, you mentioned that bernie may be letting go of half of his staff. We are hearing from the president may support Hillary Clinton perhaps as early as today. What would that exactly mean for Hillary Clinton and perhaps Bernie Sanders . Will he continue to move forward into the Democratic Convention . Reporter yeah. You know, thats the Million Dollar question right now. Sanders wants to at least have some impact on the democratic agenda moving forward, on the democratic platform at that convention. President obama may come out as early as today as endorse Hillary Clinton. He has been itching to join the fight. Its resolved at this point. Many people saying that donald trump appears to be toning things down a bit. Perhaps trying to appear more president ial as we get closer to november . Reporter thats right. We heard him yesterday speaking off of a teleprompter, which is unusual for donald trump. Last night he was reading off the prompter and it seemed to be much more kind of measured tone from trump. Now, is this kind of a change now where he is going to be a more disciplined candidate for the general election . The kind of candidate that a lot of the republican establishment folks would like to see . We will see how that turns out. We have seen trump talk about this kind of thing before, but he always go back to the bombastic trump that ultimately got him this there. Doug, thank you. Well, local supporters of Hillary Clinton gathered at several watch parties around the bay area. One was at the audio nightclub in San Franciscos market district. Senate candidate who spoke out against trump for saying a judge hearing the Trump University lawsuit could be biased because the judges parents were born in mexico. I found it very offensive personally. I think that he extended it to muslims. His attack on the governor of new mexico last week. It shows the pattern that is disturbing to me. I havent endorsed him yet and i have not voted for him. We do not want Hillary Clinton as the next president of the United States. You like to win the last game at home. It would be a lot of fun for everyone. Its nice to win and be done with it. You dont want to mess around too much. I dont think its going to be a 30 point win. I think its going to be a tough game. But i still think the warriors are the better team. Reporter all right.
