Sheriffs deputy recovering now after being shot in the face last night. The deputy was on the platform of a lightrail station when he and the man were talking but it erupted into a fight. The man then shot the deputy and ran out of that station. The sheriffs helicopter followed the man until he ran into a hotel. Thats when deputies sent a robot inside to find him. He was in the second floor of the outdoor hotel. He was tucked inside an alvoce and in a fetal position. Our robto was able to give directions so they kept watching him the whole time. The teams came in and then took him into custody. The Sheriffs Office hasnt told us the name of the suspect and they are only saying that the deputy had been with the depth for four years. We are also following a developing story out of utah where the countys largest the countrys largest wildfire conditions to burn out of control. The fire has burned at least 78 square miles in southern utah. More than 1500 people have been forced from their homes. 13 homes have been destroyed. The fire started on saturday. It is being fanned by strong winds and right now its only about 10 contain and the cause is unknown. A wildfire in North Central arizona burns burned more than 4,000 acres. Its about 5 contained at this point. Right now about 150 people are evacuated from their homes, others have been told to be ready to leave at a moments notice if winds shift. The cause of that fire is also still under investigation. Firefighters in marin making progress. It was reported yesterday morning off fairfax. Firefighters from many, arin and cal fire battled the flames on the ground and in the air and they put out hot spots during the night. There are no homes in that immediate area.
