This is near broadway near first in 42nd in oakland. We do know that the officer was taken away by ambulance. Again on we know right now is that there was some sort of crash, and other people involved. The Police Officer was taken to the hospital by ambulance. We were bring you more information. We are taking their life, this is broadway near first in 42nd. Certainly, a big area. Yes, it looks like the police car is up against one of those large trees. That is a tremendous impact. Yes, theres a pulldown. We can see that from a live picture. A pretty horrendous crash. In the commute you have got to say way because that is blocked off. Very busy. We will get an update as soon as we get more information. Meantime Richmond Police are investigating the latest freeway shooting. It happened last night it shut down the freeway for five hours including the busy evening rush hour causing a traffic nightmare and on city streets. Christian is there right now the investigation is still going on so what are the Police Telling you . They have the lead on this investigation. They are also working on this as well. In the last hour, they confirmed that both man and woman shot in the incident are alive. This point, there are three people in this custody. It happened around 3 30 pm. A man and a woman were heading eastbound near the exit. Witnesses say that sharks ran out. Session that shots rang out. Shots rang out. They do believe that the man and woman were targeted. The occupants of the minivan were struck. He needed to be airlifted. There were multiple incidents. They say that those incidents were a critical at that and help me to find the suspects. Any shooting is dangerous to be around. We want people to be a good witness. And like i said, we have had some great witnesses. They gave us critical information. They were overhead as police towed a silver dodge away. Its the same locations were officers took three suspects into custody. Investigators say, that witnesses were critical in leading them to the suspects. No word on who the suspects were. We are here waiting for them to talk and trying to get more information about this case this morning. Thank you. 6 06 am, were waiting for more details from Santa Clara Police about last nights deadly officer involved shooting. It happened near the expressway. They were called about 5 pm, someone said that their son was out of control. When police arrived, they encountered a man in his 20s and when officer uses taser. The details are still sketchy. But intensified and they shot and killed the man. This is a tragic scene that affects everyone involved from the family. And the secret the officer as well. We do not know if the suspect had a weapon. The officer who fired the shot is now on administrative leave. Reportedly he has been on the Santa Clara Police force for eight years. A dozen people could face charges for hazing at napa hit high school. They say that it started as an input an investigation and grew into a case of hazing with separate incidents dating back to the 2015 2016 school year. They have identified 14 people who are accused of hazing. And a coach who they say didnt properly report the incidents. If you are deemed a mandated reporter and you see alleged are possible child abuse or you are aware of information that you have to report it. They say that the incidents involved teammates assaulting other teammates by holding them down and hitting and grabbing them. They are conducting their own reviews but some say that its taking too long. San jose city public packed as victims as the devastating floods demanded answers. They want to know how mistakes made by officials will be corrected. They admitted that they waited too long to evacuate people and they should have admitted an advisory on february 19 two days before the floods, with 500 homes causing 73 million in damage. And it hit the center divide, it was resting there when we showed up on scene. It appears that a light pole and possibly the tree, if you go to the righthand side theres another car involved in this accident as this black sedan. We just spoke to the driver he says that it wasnt his fault that the accident occurred. He says that he was driving on broadway, just past 42nd st. When the officer was behind him. He said that he had signals to move into the lane and he didnt say the officer behind him. And, when he moves into the other lane, that is when the Police Vehicle crashed into him and sent the Police Vehicle into the center divide. And, we do have a couple of officers out here. A photographer that was on the he saw those Police Officers. And we are told that he is doing okay. Right now, we have them out here investigating and they have blocked off sections of broadway and 42nd to ridgway. Thank you. Authorities are investigating two separate assaults. The San Mateo CountySheriffs Department released a sketch of one of the suspects. There it is. Described as latino. About 56, and weighs about 200 pounds. And, deputies say that he is accused of threatening a woman is sexually assaulting a woman. They say that he began speaking to the victim before grabbing her. She fought with a suspect before he went away. If you have any information you are asked to call the Sheriffs Department. Police are investigating another sexual assault. They released this photo, the assault happened just a few hours earlier at the palo alto trent station thats train station. The victim had just gotten off when she noticed a man walking behind her. He then ran up and grabbed her. She screamed and he let go. She then ran away and called 911. At this point, they do not know if these cases are connected. We had continuing coverage of the murder case. New testimony in the courtroom, a manager at the safeway store, the defendant worked took the witness stand and he testified about items allegedly purchased by Garcia Torres using his credit card. Including a battery found in a stun gun that Authorities Say may have been used in the separate kidnapping. Prosecutors say that his thumbprint was found on the battery.
