We are getting busy, a lot of Little Things that make for a slow commute. Lets start off with a look at the commute getting into San Francisco, it is wrapped up all the way out to the maze. This is a typical commute, and it is windy on the bridge, so give yourself extra time. Looking at the san mateo bridge, traffic is okay. As you drive over highway 92, upper skyline is open, so you can get between highway 92 and the Half Moon Bay. Over to 280 in both directions are open now that the trees are gone. And at the Altamont Pass area, moving along pretty well. As we look at the east bay, some fender benders and accidents, so please give yourself extra time. We spoke about highway 92 east of Half Moon Bay, a trouble spot this morning due to the downed trees blocking the road. We are there with the latest. Reporter as you mentioned, highway 92 has opened at skyline boulevard about 15 minutes ago, good news for the commuters. The roads are still wet, and there is a light mist falling, have your rain overnight. The chp is telling people to be cautious because it is wet out there. Here is video that we shot earlier this morning, around 2 am. An 80 foot tree fell across highway 92 near skyline, blocking all the lanes of traffic, chp closed the road to. Caltrans arrived and worked on it, and hold the tree away. It did cause a lot of back up, commuters had to detour around the area. This is the second incident of the trees down, multiple trees fell last night. The scene has been cleared, and we have moved away from the area to be safe because the ground is saturated from the overnight rains. This picture was tweeted by the San Mateo Fire Department last night, they posted this picture of the pickup truck partially submerged at 101 at highway 92, but they did not say whether anyone was injured in the incident. We are monitoring traffic and roadway conditions and will let you know if anything flares up on the roads. Thank you, and we will keep an eye on the roads. Taking a look at the other damaging San Francisco, this 40 foot pine tree crashed into an Apartment Building. The tree did some damage, but no one was injured. This is one of many trees that fell across the bay area over the weekend. In richmond, strong winds downed two huge cypress trees, and look at this, one of our photographers walking into the whole hole. And in san mateo, knocking out power to an entire neighborhood. In lafayette, knocking out the power and the tree down and making it difficult for people to get in and out of the neighborhood. The pg e crews worked for hours to restore the service to the area. The storm causing dangerous conditions with the high surf, waves could reach up to 19 feet, that means watch out for rip currents and sneaker waves. If you plan on hanging out around the beach, the High Surf Advisory is in effect through tomorrow morning. The red tagged pacifica Apartment Building sitting on the edge of the cliff will be torn down tomorrow. The building on espionage was evacuated and condemned after storms eroded the cliff. The building that was next door has already been torn down, and work crews will put up a fence, taking out the is best us and lead, and tomorrow morning they will work to demolish the building. While that happens, technicians will keep a close eye on the cliff side. If there is anything going on with the bluff, they will be able to warn us and to make sure that the contractors and staff are safe. The city of pacifica filed a criminal complaint against the owner the building accusing him of neglect, put on probation for three years, and later filed under bankruptcy protection. The third building owned by the same man was gentle tagged in january, and maybe the next billing to be torn down. Reporter as many as four reported Sexual Assaults in the past month, all happening in the area south of the uc Berkeley Campus. The Police Believe the same man could be behind all four incidents. Here is the Surveillance Video of a possible suspect, and the police are hoping someone will recognize this man running away. This was captured after the february Sexual Assault that happened in berkeley. They believe this man could be connected to another Sexual Assault that happened this past saturday, and that is why they released the video again this weekend, hoping someone recognizes this man. This was near dwight and edna, the man grabbed a 20yearold woman from behind, pushed her to the ground and sexually assaulted her. The victim fought back and the victim took off running down the street. This is the fourth assault in the last few months that happened in the campus area. The first Sexual Assault happened on february 11 near telegraph, and five days later there were two that occurred on the same evening february 16, else worth and on dwight and edna, and this past saturday. The description of the suspect in these or mac incidents vary. Four incidents vary. One described them as aging, and another described after an american, and the saturday incident, the suspect involved maybe latino or hispanic. They believe the man was in his 20s or 30s with dark hair and unshaven, with the dark hooded sweatshirt. The police think that the same man could be behind all four incidents.
