We are beginning the still developing story of a deadly Small Plane Crash in Southern California. It killed three people and injured two others on their way home to san jose. The cessna was going to the airport when it crashed in to a neighborhood moments after taking off from the Riverside Airport just befora 15 00 oclock last night. The plane slammed in to two houses and sparked a large fire. There were five people on board. They were returning from a youth cheerleading competition at disneyland. The Riverside Fire Department said that two adult women were ejected from the plane on impact and survived. One underwent emergency surgery at a burn center and we understand that they are in critical condition. The other was taken to a hospital in riverside. They were injected into the house and that is where the firefighters were able to make a an aggressive attack and get them out from the house early on in the fire. Firefighters arrived in minutes. Witnesses say that a woman who said she was the pilot crawled out one of the homes. Her clothe was on fire. Withins heard an explosion and saw flames. The flame was still going when they took the body out and then they i saw the body get dragged out. It was pretty dramatic scene. The entire block in the neighborhood which is about 25 homes was evacuated. Two homes were destroyed. A third was damaged. The ntsb is heading up the investigation into the cause of that plane crash. We are learning more about the south bay owner of that cessna plane. Its registered to a 83year old who live its on north Second Street in san jose. A neighbor caring for his pets said that he and his wife flew to Southern California with their granddaughter for a cheerleading event. The neighbor who didnt want to be identified confirms this is her facebook page. The neighbor said that she sent a message at two to say they were on their way back and that their granddaughter had won first place. When they didnt arrive last night the neighbor was worried. The neighbor said that he loved the home because it was so close to the airport where he kept his plane. Here are more details about that cessna. It has twin engines, seats up to six people. Police in the east bay are investigating a deadly crash in the city pittsburgh. Officers say that about 7 00 last night there was a crash between a car and a van at willow pass road. Investigators say a woman who lived nearby heard the collision and ran to see what happened. Police say she was hit by an suv headed west on willow pass road. The driver stopped is cooperating with investigators. They do not believe drugs or alcohol were involved police arent say figure anyone was seriously hurt in the first crash involving the car and the van. The city of san jose is a nounsed the first estimate of damages caused by the coyote creek flood. Its at 73 million. 50million is for private property. We had a crew at the League Office right when police found there had been a bomb threat. Police say a staff member picked up the phone just before 4 30 and heard a man say there was a bomb in the building. Police evacuated the building at 720 Market Street and shut down the street. A bomb sniffing dog was brought in and the entire ten Story Building was searched but nothing was found. The regional director of the league said that more education could make hate a thing of the past. Hate is something that is learned. If it can be learned it can be unlearned. We want to see america be a place of no hate. A place where everybody is welcome. Jewish Community Centers and schools california to florida, new jersey, received threats throughout the day. The Anti Defamation League said since the first there have have been nearly 100 similar threats. The fbi is working on many of those acceptions. Attorney general said that the Justice Department will take action against the people behind a wave of threats against jewish people. On monday he condemned the bomb threats and the vandalism at jewish cemeteries. Over the weekend vandals knocked over several hundred head stones at a Historic Jewish cemetery in philadelphia. Good morning to both of you. This 68yearold man was just the overcome by the fire in his pardon me last night. He was badly burned over a pretty good part of his body. The victim lives in one of those ground floor units there on the left hand side. You may be able to make out some of the debris. This complex is right on san p ablo avenue and it houses mainly people with special needs and the elderly. This fire first started about nine last night. That is when el sorito firefighters showed up and there were flames and smoke coming from that one unit. Firefighters worked quickly to put the fire out. They were able to keep it mainly to just that unit. They did rescue a man in that apartment and he had to be airlifted to a nearby burn unit. I was transported by medical helicopter to Santa Clara Medical Center Burn Unit with significant burns to his up manier body. Second, third degree burns. Reporter its not clear what spark that fire. The el sorito fire department. The Police Department will all be investigating the cause and it sounds like again that flyer was contained to just that single unit though other apartments may have some smoke damage but everybody who was forced out of their places, evacuated last night because of the fire, those folks all back in their units as we understand. Again that 68yearold man who suffered those serious one burns here is in the hospital. Still this morning after this fire here in el sorito last night. Thank you. Now we have a better look at that massive damage to the spillway at the orrville dam. Take a look. Crews reduced water flow yesterday. Eventually stopping it completely. You can see the lower part of the concrete spillway has been wash away. The water flow is also eroded the hillside under the emergency spillway. State officials hope to keep the out flow of water turned off for about a week. That will give crews time to clear debris from the channel below the familiar and also get a plant back online. Almost a mile of a rural but very important road are has shut down and officials are have no idea how long itll be before they can start repairs. Morgan territory road is 14 miles of narrow and twisting road between livermore and ranch homes outside the town of clayton. A part started sliding on friday and its still moving. Engineers trying to welcomero una fix. Until then that road is closed to cars. People can actually walk across the slide area and get water provided by the county. Since the slide caused a water main to break which means they have no running water. A man is under arrest accused of killing his father and estranged wife. The body of the 57yearold dale carlson was found on saturday morning on Valley Center drive. About two Hours Later Police found the body of 37yearold Jessica Carlson in a house on glenn brook drive. Cal carsons son Dalton Carlson was taken in to custody on unrelated charges. Yesterday he was arrested on murder charges but investigators are still looking for a motive. The man accused of leading a chp officer in sacramento on a chase that led to the officers death is due back in court next month. The 26yearold made his first appearance in court yesterday on charges of stealing a motorcycle and evading an officer. Investigators say that the officer was chasing him last wednesday when he lost control of miss motorcycle and crashed and died. Yesterday outside the courtroom his mother defended him. Court records show a bench warrant was issued for his arrest in 2015 after he failed to show Newspaper Court on charges of burglary, unlawfully taking a motorcycle and possession of a controlled substance. A decorated Oakland Police sergeant is now suing the city saying that the Police Department took revenge against him as he is investigated the death of at wife of another officer. The sergeant you see him on the left said that the revenge started after he started to suspect Oakland Police officer Brandon Obrien had shot and killed his own wife. Her death in 2014 was ruled a suicide. 15 months later obrien also committed suicide. A note he left set off the wide ranging police sex scandal. Ghant said when he started investigating the possible role in his wifes death he became the target of harassment. Police are investigating a stabbing that injured one appreciate. It happened about ten last night. The police Department Said that one person is in custody. There are no other suspects but they havent released any details about the victims condition or what have led up to that stabbing. Police in is san rafael searching for thief who stole an atm from a marin airport bus terminal. It happened about 2 30 yesterday morning. Here is a Surveillance Video released by police. At least the two people drove up to the building on Anderson Drive in a white lexus and broken. One of them tied a rope or cable around the atm machine. The other end was attached to the car and keep watching. Using the car they pulled the atm right through the front car. The burglars loaded it into the suv and then they took off. The entire heist took about three minutes. It appears someone knew that it was in there. Then put a lot of work into getting it out based on the amount of damage that happened. Now there is significant damage to the office and the front of that biling. The atm was found just before noontime yesterday attempt was dumped in a parking lot at a Business Park in richmondt. Had been cut open and all the cash had been emptied out. The amount many money inside that atm is not known. A man accused of a string of lathe nights home burglary Social Security under arrest. Police say that the suspect targeted homes with unlocked garage doors. Undercover officers caught them sunday night at a home under renovation.
