When officers arrived they found an 18yearold African American man was shot. His wounds do not appear to be lifethreatening. A group of people approached them and had an argument. Its not clear if they knew each other. The gunman is latino, between 18 and 20. The suspects drove off in an older model four door honda. Time is 5 06, a capture in hayward of a Domestic Violence suspect by a k9 dog. Police were called to industrial boulevard where a man was beating a woman. Sky fox was overhead as the k9 captured the suspect near highway 22. The woman was found safe, did not appear to be hurt. In Solano County a 13year old boy accused of bringing a gun to school was booked. He brought a. 38 caliber gun to school, hid the gun in a bathroom while hiding bullets in the backpack. The gun was taken from his home without permission. A gun clip and bullets were found in his bedroom. The search continues for a sacramento father and his 1 yearold daughter who were last seen in the bay area. Jackson went missing sunday night after leaving antioch with his daughter. Family members say he was heading home to the sacramento area but never made it. His phone is going straight to voice mail. Now they are pleading for help to find them. One person was killed, another injured in a shooting and stabbing. In novato where the attack has forced Novato High School classes to be canceled. Thats one of the things investigators are trying to determine. This incident happening yesterday up this road a couple hundred yards. Were at Fairway Drive offing anacio boulevard. Novato high school is closed because the suspect or victims may have had ties to the School Following a shooting and stabbing leaving one dead and another hospitalized. The victim called police at 5 30 last night saying he was shot and stabbed in an open space area at the end of Fairway Drive. He says he was attacked by three people. We have new video we shot this morning. You can see a patrol car on the road. Another victim was shot and stabbed. That victim died of the injuries, Novato High School sent out a note saying classes are canceled to ensure the safety of students and staff due to unsent surrounding the situation. Im shocked. Because ive never seen anything like this before. Investigators are looking to see if gangs or drugs could have played a role in this deadly encounter, theres been no arrests. The medical examiner will collect the deceased. Authorities commed the scene using canine units overnight. The patrol unit said he was preserving the crime scene. Were expecting more investigators throughout the morning and make our way to Novato High School to get more details about the investigation and who the victim and or suspects may be. A construction worker on his lunch break made the discovery yesterday afternoon. Detectives searched the shoreline, its only a torso that was found and likely that of a young man. At this point theres no word on how the man died. The father of a 5yearold boy who died in a house fire last sunday has surrendered to police is in jail. Neighbors say they saw shuemake sitting near the burned out house looking derespondent. Susan brown has a son and daughter against shuemake. She describes hims acontrolling and violent. Six years ago he was sent to prison for beating her. The mother of the boy that died is in the hospital with serious burns. Shes finally had enough, and she knew she was next and couldnt do it. She probably said i dont want to do this any more and that was his reaction. Shuemake was arrested for battery on another woman. That girl said that shuemake molested her. Investigators sub stance yateed her claims. Shuemake was charged with felony vandalism and went free. Deputies are looking for a 15yearold girl who disappeared. A witness reported seeing this teenager being dragged away by a man on 780 overcrossing. Investigators identified the girl at pearl pinson. The witness said the girls face was bleeding and she was yelling for help. Were very concerned, there was an altercation, there were at least one shot heard in the area around that time deputies identified the suspect. They believe he is armed. When they arrived at the overcrossing no one was there but they found blood on the ground. Five east bay mayors are going into crisis mode after the latest freeway shooting on eastbound interstate 80. A man was shot in the leg, he is expected to survive. It was a 28th freeway shooting in the east bay since last november. Four people have been killed and 12 hurt. The mayors of hercules. They are going to the governor asking for help. They plan to deliver a letter asking for state funding for 24 surveillance cameras they want to up grade the Traffic Cameras to capture and store maimings.
