San jose firefighters investigating what sparked the fire at the homeless camp near the expressway. This happened at 3 30 pm yesterday afternoon not far from 101, burning about an acre. Since the flames were burning so close to the expressway, fire crews briefly shut down the west down lanes. They say the encampment is under it, clearance orders, and anyone sabine will face charges of trespassing. Many homeless camp along the coyote creek, and it is common for cooking fires to burn out of control. No one was hurt, another fire at that same location burned about 7 acres last july. In texas at leading the effort for 26 states, arguing that they will have to carry the burden of providing new services for these potentially millions of immigrants. This is not prosecutorial discretion, this is changing the law. Reporter and the congress will argue that the president is in essence a rewriting law, violating the basic tenets of the constitution. The white house says he is well within his authority. Executive authority that president obama exercise is entirely consistent with the authority that president reagan and present george w. He has pled not guilty to the federal charges. A new report adding up the cost of wrongful convictions in california for the accused and for the taxpayers. The study looked at the faulty convictions in california from 1989 through 2012. 692 people were wrongfully sentenced, taxpayers on the hook for 282 million, including 68 million in settlements to the wrongly convicted like rick walker. A man was killed after stopping on the shoulder on highway 101, just after 4 pm yesterday afternoon. This chp said that this 60year old daly city man heard a strange noise and pulled over to see if anything had come loose on the minivan. He was standing on the driver side of the minivan and was hit by pickup truck. The pickup driver fell asleep at the wheel. Another gentleman was traveling northbound in a small pickup, and in one of the slow lanes, and for unknown reasons, he veered to the right and hit the gentleman on the shoulder, and also hit his vehicle. Officers say that the driver of the pickup truck did stop at the scene, and the me men driver wife and children were in the car at the time and were not injured. One person killed and another injured in a suspected dui crash in Sonoma County just after 1 am yesterday morning near the central windsor off ramp on the northbound highway 101. Take a look at this scene, the driver of the pickup truck went off of the role road and hit the pole. The passenger was killed on the driver suffered moderate injuries.
