Allie rasmus has more on the husband and wife from brisbane now believed to be dead. Reporter it started as a missing persons case. The husband of shelly reported her missing. Fremont police cannot rule out the possibility that the torso belongs to the wife and missing mother of two. The fishermen made the discovery on sunday evening. And two days after, her husband jumped to his death off the bay bring. His pickup truck was impounded as evidence and the brisbane home has become a crime scene. The couple had two adult sons and one of them posted on facebook. He said my mother and father have recently passed. I hope that you will all respect the privacy of my family and i. We are still waiting to hear from Fremont Police to make some sort of statement or comment on the latest developments in the investigation. And the last statement. They did not confirm the identity of the body but they could not rule it out. Meantime, police in hayward say a 23yearold man has been charged with killing a mother of two. He was arrested for the murder of Stacey Aguilar who was last seen on valentines day, leaving a party with her boyfriend. Police have not said if pedraza was her boyfriend. Her body was found in the Fremont Hills with several gunshot wounds. She leaves behind a 7yearold son and a 5yearold daughter. Students at two high schools on the peninsula will have extra security. Alex savidge is live at el camino high where theres been an anonymous threat and the School District is responding. And a lot of people might keep kids home. Reporter we havent necessarily heard that as of yet but thats not out of the realm of possibility given that you have threats at two schools in south San Francisco. Police will be beefing up security. And as a matter of fact we want to push in to the parking lot at el camino high school. See the yellow lights. Thats a San Francisco Police Officer in the squad car this morning. Trying to make their presence felt as Police Investigate the validity of threats made against students and Staff Members and also against south San Francisco High School Just up the road. Authorities got wind of the threats after getting an anonymous letter from someone who expressed concern about the people at these two schools. They heard about a threat. And the south San Francisco Police Department is working in conjunction with the School District to investigate the exact nature of the threats. We dont exactly know what threats were made against the student body here. A message was posted on the districts website to let everybody know what was going on. And there was an automated phone call made to parents. Although the validity of the threats has not been confirmed this information is being disseminated to the community. Reporter students and Staff Members at the two campuses are being asked to be vigilant and keep an eye out for anything out of the ordinary. And the extra Police Officers in and around the two campuses those measures will remain in place for the rest of this week. But both high schools will remain open despite these threats against the schools. And of course, well be reaching out to School Officials later on this morning and the San Francisco to try to learn more about the specific nature of these threats and again about the steps that will be taken over the next couple of days. Expect a heavy Police Presence at both schools. A lot of people will be interested in hearing more. Administrators are waiting for results of new tests on Drinking Water after high levels of lead were discovered in the drinking fountains. The problem was found during the thanksgiving break at the headsburg elementary. They waited until this week to notify parents and the county Health Department so they could develop a plan of action. We are demanding justice for our brother, mario woods. The department ofius has two more listening sessions planned next month. The review is expected to take about two years and will include public reports every six months. San Francisco Police officers could start wearing body cameras as early as next month. The board of supervisors released 2. 4 million to start the program. The paper says the department estimates that each Police Officer will record two hours of video per shift. There have been growing calls for officers to wear body cameras following incidents of Police Officers shooting suspects. In marin county, the search goes on for two people who shot a 19yearold man near the Larkspur Landing movie theater. There was an argument in the parking lot and thats when the shooters opened fire. The attackers got away in a black suv. The shooting victim was taken to the hospital and has since been released. This is an isolated incident. And it appears the suspect and the victim knew each other. Happening today, the San Francisco board of supervisors will hold a hearing examining how to address the homeless crisis. Last years Homeless Count showed 6600 People Living on the streets of San Francisco. Homeless advocates say the number is much higher. The officer was fired last year after tweeting what was perceived as threatening messages aimed at supporters of the black lives matter movement. This month an arbitrator ruled the firing was not justified. They said officer white was responding to perceived threats against his family. An naacp attorney filed a motion to try to force the city to challenge the decision to reinstate him. What were asking to have happen is for the city to challenge reinstatement which means a judge would decide whether the reinstatement of this particular officer is contrary to Public Policy and a danger to the public safety. We need a good evaluation before we can make that decision. Were not there yet. The Police Department says officer white is on desk duty, not back out on the streets. The city council could decide whether to appeal his reinstatement as soon as next week. Eddie garcia may have a lock on getting the job of police chief. The city manager plans to bring his name forward at the city Council Meeting on tuesday. The city council is expected to ratify garcia. Another sign that hell probably get the job, san jose never launched a formal candidate search. Improving santa claras troubled jail system is among the Top Priorities for board of supervisors this year. Board supervisor dave called this the year of transformation.
