Surrounded the vehicle, but the driver tried to take off and dragged the chp officer. The officers approached the vehicle. An officerinvolved shooting occurred. Reporter ambulances transported both the officer and suspect to San Francisco general hospital. The officer was conscious, able to walk and talking when he was transported. The suspect had life threatening injuries. At the scene, investigators said they found no gun in the suspects vehicle. Investigators also looked over the two Law Enforcement vehicles involved. The officers in the vehicle Task Force Unit were representative of three agencies. Reporter this man said he heard on social media his childhood friend might have been the suspect involved. He said his friend is a good man. He was hustling to try to make ends meet to feed his self. Lucky it was not worse. Reporter the officer is expected to survive. My understanding is suffered abrasions and a minor head injury. Reporter janine because the shooting happened in San Francisco, the City District attorney and San FranciscoPolice Department are leading the investigation. California high school in san ramon administrators are dealing with two cases of racist graffiti. In the first case last week a male student confessed to writing the word, colored, over one toilet, and the word, whites, over another toilet in the boys bathroom. Then monday someone wrote a threatening message with racial slurs against africanamericans in the girls bathroom. I didnt expect it to come from our campus. But there is racism in the suburbs when nobody thinks there is. The school investigated after last weeks graffiti. Some of the students and Parents School officials down played the incident until parents called police. California high police say theyll punish the boys, but say nobody has claimed responsibility for writing graffiti in the girls bathroom. Deputies say vargas was found in a homeless camp in watt tonville. Federal investigators are trying to figure out what caused a plane crash in the east bay that killed one person on board. It happened on private property. The plane clipped high voltage power lines and after hitting the ground the plane burst into flames. Linda riley lived nearby and said she learned about the crash from a man working nearby. He said he heard a plane, found it not right, like, it just sounded funny and saw it started to spiral down and he heard the crash. Theres no word on the identity of the pilot yet. Naacp has filed lawsuit over an extreme case of the norovirus in redwood city. They say 127 members of the naacp came ill after eating a salmon dinner at the hotel.
