Fishermen found the torso of a woman and tuesday night. 62yearold paul committed suicide by leaping from the bay bridge. The couples home is now a crime scene. And they impounded his pickup truck as potential evidence. He seemed troubled often. Police have not officially connected all of these events, and they have not confirmed that she is dead. But on facebook her son james wrote my mother and father have recently passed. I hope that you will all respect the privacy of my family and all. Police in hayward said a 23 yearold man is charged with killing a young mother of two. He was arrested for the murder of stacey aguilar. The young mother was seen on valentines day leaving a party with her boyfriend. Police have not said if pedraza was her boyfriend. She was found with multiple gunshot wounds and she leaves behind a 7yearold son and a 5 yearold daughter. The battle between the fbi and apple is intensifying. At issue, the iphone of one of the San Bernardino terrorists. And now the ceo of apple is sitting down to talk about the situation. When our Justice System if an independent judge finds reason to believe that a certain item contains evidence of a crime, there can be a limited search for the that evidence. Reporter the issue is whether the tech giant should comply with the court order to unlock the iphone. The government needs the assistance of third parties to ensure that a search is actually conducted. Judges all over the country and on the Supreme Court have said that those parties must assist if its reasonably within their power to do so. Last years Homeless Count showed 6600 People Living on the streets. Homeless advocates are urging supporters to attend the 10 00 hearing at city hall to rally support for more funding. They are also accusing the city leaders of criminalizing the homeless. The hearing comes as the clock ticks down for People Living in sidewalk tents. The city has declared the division street location a health hazard. And the city plans to tear down other encampments in the coming week. Governor of virginia has declared a state of emergency and that storm left thousands without power. Several buildings were damaged in waverly, virginia. The debris is very heavy at this time and its all over the place. So we are still trying to get rescue to certain places. Several tornadoes from the same system hit the gulf coast earlier this week killing three people and damaging homes in louisiana, mississippi, and florida. The midwest is now being hit with heavy snow thats caused Flight Cancellations in chicago and School Closures in several states. Here in the bay area, a High Surf Advisory just expired and we could see more dangerous conditions along the coast as we head into the weekend. Waves were 12 feet yesterday and more frequent than normal. The National Weather service could issue another advisory for tomorrow or saturday. A Young California sea lion that survived a shark attack is now recovering at its new home in vallejo. It was found stranded after being bitten by a great white shark near Santa Barbara last summer. Hes happening out at six flags discovery kingdom. They hope to have a new enclosure finished by june. We named him shark bite to tell his story. Hell have the battle wounds to show what he went through in the wild. Hes responding to his name. Well, shark bite is about a year old. And because he was found stranded twice and severely image, the second time experts decided to provide him with a safe home. He could be the next grumpy cat. The kitten is getting a lot of attention because of the pattern around its mouth in the shape of a perfect mustache. The kitten was found abandoned in a donation bin at the salvation army. And was turned over to a shelter. And now its in need of a loving home. Shes going to be a beauty. And especially given the right kind of care. And that face is remarkable, its unforgettable. No question. Mustache kitten, so cute. Expected to be available for adoption in the next few weeks, for now, the shelter is using the kittens unique look to draw attention to the need of spaying and neutering animals.
