The operators of the dam say they have emptied the reservoir enough to handle the latest storm. Officials also say that the spillway is holding up well despite being damaged. Especially up in the santa cruz mountains. Highway 17, still down to just one lane in each direction from Granite Creek road to the santa cruz, Santa Clara County line. Another section of 17 is down to one lane in each direction at highway 85 to camden in the city of campbell. You can see its caused huge back ups. Thats a very big part of the morning drive. In marin crews are still working to protect highway 37 from more flooding. They are building a steel and concrete barrier to try to keep water out. The fix will not completely stop the flooding but its designed to lessen the severity. The section remains closed. Its not expected to reopen until next weekend. In other news police in nevado searching for two men who assaulted a woman near a Downtown Park either sunday night or early monday morning. Police released two photographs of one of the suspects taken by surveillance camera at a nearby luckys market. Take a look. Both men described as 55, clean shaven in their 40s. The suspect in the photographs was wearing a super bowl l Carolina Panthers sweatshirt and carried a gray ni connection drawstring backpack. The woman said she met and spent time with the two before she was attacked near lee garner park. If you have information get in contact with the police. A man is in custody for shooting on board a muni train in San Francisco. That shooting happened last thursday afternoon. The 29yearold anthony ray was accused of shooting a man on board a t third train as it approached third and 22nd in the dog patch area. A 22yearold was shot in the head but is recovering at a hospital. Police have not said a motive but say that ray is a known gang member. Investigators say they were able to identity him from the trains surveillance video. A man in San Francisco said that he was robbed over the weekend when he got into a car that he mistook for his ride sharing vehicle. What happened and the new warnings from the police. Reporter a ten minute ride must have felt like an eternity for a man kidnapped and robbed early saturday. It was around 6 00 a. M. When the 26yearold requested a ride share to pick him up at 11th and folsom. He was new to the ride share services. He saw a car. Thought it was his ride share and got into the vehicle and he saw there was a driver and there was a passenger in the backseat. Reporter police say that no words were exchanged until they demanded his wallet. During that drive the vehicle stopped, the person in the backseat held the person down and the driver and the person in the backseat robbed him of their property. Reporter the victim was finally able to escape near 4th and harrison and called the police. Police say that this was a crime of opportunity. We dont believe that this person was posing as a ride share driver. We dont have that information at this time. Reporter we found this woman waiting for a ride in the same area. She said she has heard about people jumping in to the wrong car. My friend was driving she came up to a stopsign and someone tried to get into her car thinking they were the uber or lytt and she doesnt have the patches on her car or anything. It was just kind of freaky. Reporter San Francisco police dont have any leads on the suspects or their vehicles. They are just warning people to be aware about whose car they get into. Most Ride Sharing Services often have a decal on the front window of the car. Also in the app you can find the drivers picture, their name and also the make, model and color of the car that you are getting in to. The murder trial of the man accused of killing sierra lamar continues this morning. Yesterday a disputed run away note took center stage. That note was apparently found in sierras spanish notebook after she disappeared. The person who wrote the note said she hates her life and would be in San Francisco. Prosecutors are dismissing the note as a prank. They had a handwriting analysis testify that the 15yearold didnt write it. Her body has never been found. Protesters have been trying to stop the Dakota Access and the keystone excel pipelines. They are say their sacred lands and clean water are threatened by that project. Tr ib al leaders met with the pope at the vatican. He said that the United States government should consult with tribes before making decisions about construction. I believe that the central issue is how to reconcile the right to development with the protection of the particular character of peoples and their territories. The president signed executive orders allowing the Pipeline Projects to continue. A federal judge refused to block that order.
