He punches her in the face and continues to punch her after she falls to the ground. This happened 7 45 saturday night on washington street near lafayette park. The woman did not know the man but he did saying is to her. Say youre sorry or something along those lines, and she had no idea what he was talking about because she did not know him. The woman suffered a broken nose and was able to call 911 after the man ran away. The suspect may have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Investigators have been unable to find witnesses and they are asking anyone who might have seen something to come forward. A San Francisco muni driver was attacked by a passenger. A man hit the operator in the head with a skateboard. It happened on the 47 bus line at van ness and bush on tuesday afternoon. The examiner reports that the driver suffered a cut to the forehead. Video from the bus was handed over to police. This attack comes after another reported assault on a muni driver earlier this month. Two men hit by a taxicab two days ago remain in the hospital. We spoke with one victim on the phone from his hospital room yesterday. And he tells us at first he thought someone set off a fire cracker when the cab slammed into his shoe shine station. The other man who works for him suffered more serious injuries. As for the cause of the crash, investigators say the taxi driver may have had a medical issue and hits the gas pedal instead of the brake. The cab driver has been released from the hospital. The deaths of two young sisters is causing Sonoma County to lobby for safety improvements on a dangerous stretch of highway. The 6yearold and 4yearold drowned when the pickup they were riding in went off the road and into the russian river. Their mom was able to get out of the water safely but was unable to reach her daughters strapped in the backseat. The supervisor tells the press democrat he immediately contacted state leaders and highway officials to discuss safety options. Possibilities include rumble strips on the road, flashing lights, and a guardrail. Police in hayward are looking for two men in connection with a deadly stabbing. Northbound 101 in san jose, theres a problem where cars have hit bricks in the road. Four or five large bricks. You know how bricks are. Northbound 101 at mckee. Chp is rushing out there. Several cars have hit bricks and become disabled and one car is facing the wrong way on the righthand shoulder.
