Here it comes. Northbound on a 80 you can see those lights coming toward that vehicle its coming back the right way he did cause a couple of accidents when he was going the wrong way. And here he comes. All traffic is being held back here comes the vehicle in question approaching fifth northbound. So the headlights right there on the top part . Yes. That is the vehicle he is kind of limping along. Yes. Officers are keeping a pretty big distance at this point. Obviously, it is for the safety they do not know what this person is up to. Theyre trying to protect people from getting into conclusion into collisions. They are waiting for him at the fifth street off ramp. Dont think that this person has anyone ago but still not pulling over. Either officers ahead of the car . Arbiter authorities on the freeway . North of him . I am not really sure. I dont hear any radio traffic about that. But we will keep on top of that. The one thing i know, is traffic northbound being held up. As you come up. You cant get through. It is causing unexpected traffic jams. Again, northbound on a 80 as you come up during the interchange. Are those accident serious . What are you hearing . It looks like they were not very serious but we did see them going wrong in the freeway. And basically ran into a pile of cars. I just cant imagine how scary that would be driving on the freeway and then all of a sudden there was a car coming the wrong way. Fortunately not coming very fast. So, that main chase vehicles on the far left of your screen and that break is on the right. You can see the northbound traffic is inching along. But they are not letting traffic get too close and here we go again. Its coming northbound into oakland. We are not sure where the vehicle ago but here he comes. Close to the college there . Towards the Oakland Police department it looks like right. Taking a live look at this chase that has been going on for an hour and a half . Yes. And, we do not know what the original issue was. But we know that this is a chp chase. They are monitoring. They have a sheriffs unit with a dog just in case if spilled out onto the city streets. But this person isnt stopping. He has been driving really all over west oakland. But, he is not pulled over and chp appears to be using restraint instead of trying to somehow stop the vehicle. But just kind of keeping distance from it. Northbound traffic, it is probably inching along, but is there oakland the clock yes. I would say, it is heavy coming this way. The chase is right here. We will see if he exit somewhere in downtown oakland or if he continues. He just took the off ramp. It looks like probably right near the Police Department headquarters . Of course we will be staying with this card case. Its going to downtown oakland at least northbound 880. As we mentioned, it looks like you may be taking the off ramp. Im not exactly sure. We do not know why they are chasing the car but it has caused some impact on the traffic just to recap. It has been going on for an hour and a half, the car they are trying to stop it has gotten to a couple of minor accidents from what we have been reporting because it went into the wrong direction. It did not take the broadway. So still it is northbound 880 getting closer to the maze . Right. And you know, chp has been chasing this vehicle so for so long that they are starting to exchange vehicles they are running out of fuel and other vehicles are coming in to take over the chase because, some of these vehicles have been chasing the car for so long that they are running low on fuel. Im just wondering if the other car is eventually going to run out of gas . Are you hearing what kind of car it is . I was just listening to them saying, but pieces of this car have been coming off on the freeway and there is debris. So they will have to clean that up. Yes. They are showing restraint im not sure what city is even originally started in. What kind of car . We do not know. Do you know since the car is heading northbound 880 it looks like it made the change to 980 so now it is heading on 980 towards 580. You can see here, there they go. They are giving this chase the slow speed chase quite a bit of leeway. So they are holding back again behind the car we can see, it looks like traffic is allowed to move northbound behind the chase it looks like. Right. So now it has been reopened. They moved to the side. Was that northbound or southbound . Northbound. Remember, at one point this was going southbound. Do we know, i know, that so far they have it placed any chp cars or officers ahead of that chase. But as the car moves perhaps the tunnel or the maze, have you heard, are they setting up any kind of barricade . They wanted to set up a spike strip but they said that goal turned the block before and it was able to avoid those spike strips. Now, the car does have a couple of flat tires and i assume at this point it is just running on rims. But unfortunately that doesnt tend to stop some of these. Right. We are following developing news from san jose. Police are investigating six more random shootings targeting cars. They say although shootings have taken place along a stretch of blossom hill road. Some of those victims have been grazed or hit with broken glass. There have been 10 random shootings since early may. It is shocking that the world is coming to Something Like this. That there are just random people doing awful things to people that they havent done anything to them. Neighbors are seeing new surveillance cameras, and San Jose Police have increased patrols. As they search for the shooter. Also knew, military police in Rio De Janeiro are setting up security after a bus was hit carrying journalists. They are not saying what hit the bus but a retired air force captain. Who now writes about Womens Basketball says that she is certain that it was gunfire. Tunnel road, coming up on it was on the crossroad and also on the tunnel road. Coming up towards the tunnel. Lowspeed chase right now. Going 15 miles per hour. This chase started at about 2 45 am, in the south peninsula. They came across the san mateo bridge and on 880 was in west oakland city streets for a while. Here it is.
