The commute at the bay bridge told plaza is light so far getting into San Francisco. Lets go back to that breaking news in the east bay, the crash involving the Oakland Police officer is causing traffic issues this morning, and that is that 14th at foothill. We have the details. Reporter good morning. We are looking to get more details from the Oakland Police, and a quick tour of what the police have told me, the crime scene, and they are treating this like a crime scene. A lot of this investigation appears to be centered on this police vehicle. You can see there is a skidmark in the middle of this intersection at east 14th at foothill. A lot of this investigation is centered around this as we see the evidence technicians focusing on the skidmark on the ground. We had video that was shot earlier when we arrived on scene about 20 minutes ago, and at that time there were three ambulances that were called to this scene. Those ambulances have departed and we do not know how many people were transported. We are still waiting to talk with the Oakland Police investigators to figure out exactly what happened. This happened at around 3 40 am this morning, the call that the Oakland Police vehicle was involved in a collision, three vehicles have been called for. You can see in the video there was at the time three ambulances, and they have now departed. It is unclear how many people have been transported, and were looking for more detail on this from the Oakland Police investigators when they get a moment to speak with us. They are treating this like a crime scene, and the traffic on 14th is shut down going southbound. It looks like the westbound traffic on foothill is also shut down for the time being. It is unclear how long this will be. Again, we looking for more information from the open police, but what we do know is that the call when out that there was some type of a Motor Vehicle collision with the Oakland Police vehicle, and it is unclear how many vehicles are involved. The only vehicle weve seen is that one Oakland Police vehicle. We have another note, a lot of officers looking at the surrounding buildings, possibly looking for businesses or homes that could have video camera pointed at the intersection. Again, the traffic impact is unclear on how long this intersection will be shut down but we will update you on the air and on social media as well. Hayward police are investigating a shooting that killed a 17yearold boy and injured two others on saturday night just after 7 30 pm in the 17yearold died at the scene. The other 17yearold boy in an 18yearold were shot but not lifethreatening injuries. No arrests have been made. Richland Police Investigating two shootings that killed two and left another injured, the first just before 8 00 on saturday night on lincoln avenue, melvin james died at the scene and his brother was injured. The witnesses said that the shooters were in the grade Nissan Altima and 90 minutes later a 19yearold woman was shot and killed while riding her bike. The police do not believe that the two shootings are connected, and so far no arrests have been made. 4 35 am. It was the students first skydiving jump, and salazar was with friends that were celebrating a birthday. His mother said that just before getting into the plane he said a prayer. Developing news out of southern california, firefighters are battling a new wall fire that broke out yesterday, the rapidly growing fire burning north of San Bernardino in a very mountainous area, and the fire started yesterday and is now burned 1500 acres, and the area is sparsely populated, and some homes were threatened in the cause of the fire is under investigation. In yolo county, the cold fire is 60 contained, and started last tuesday afternoon near the town of winters and has burned 5400 acres. Highway 128 is back open and they said to drive through caution with cost and through that area. In monterey county, a wildfire is now 45 contained, and the soberanes fire has burned more than 57,000 acres, and destroyed 57 homes, burning in the steep and rugged areas that are difficult to reach. Evacuations are still in effect for some residents and they do not expect of the fire contained until at least the end of the month. They believe it was in the illegal campfire that caused the fire. The richmond the police chief said that the officers accused of having sex with a woman at the heart of the scandal probably violated department policy. The hayward man is charged with animal cruelty in the death of a small dog.
