This is a secure area still, and the cause of the fire is under investigation, and they want to make sure there are no hot spots. The fire occurred at 11 30 pm last night, and hundreds of people came out to take pictures of the blaze. The building was bacon, and no one was injured. A deadly and destructive fire happened a little over a year ago, january 2015, a fire killed one resident and injured seven others in the same building. Just the last month the building inspectors have ordered the owner to tear the building down due to a safety concern. The former tenants that lived here have been asking the city to take over the building to convert it into affordable housing. The fire that happened last night, there were some people adjacent to this building that burned, and they were evacuated as a precaution, and they were allowed to go back into their homes at the end of the night.
