I want to take you to one issue we are following in the dublin area this morning. That is roadway loading on the connector ramp between southbound 680 and uneastbound 580. Youre going to see from the maps, not causing a huge issue. Ca willetran crews are apparently out there and get the drain cleared. Maybe an issue with drainage in all likelihood, and theyre just trying to get that all sorted out. And bear that in mind if you are out and about in the dublin, pleasantton area this morning. Let me take you down to san jose and show you what things look like on the south bay. The roads are wet. But not rainy in the san jose area. And a smooth ride. No major crashes in that part of the bay area. Now, well go to highway 24 and you can see right there all the taillights. The folks driver ago way from you on the screen. They are headed westbound on highway 24 talalay fayette. You your biggest concern will be the wind, claudine. The Highway Patrol issued a high wind advise rip for this bridge just an hour ago. You can see that there is a significant amount of traffic going across the bridge. A look at top stories we are also following. We have just received new information about a suspected drunk driver in san jose. Police now tell us he was involved in four crashes instead of three. Investigators say the first crash happened at 10 30 last night. The last crash occurred about 15 minutes later on center and singleton roads between capitol express way and highway 101. Investigators say the 19year old suspected drunk driver ran a red light and hit and kimed another driver. Ktvus janine de la vega will report from the scene coming up at 5 00. Two people were shot and killed outside a home in oakland. This happened before 9 00 at 327 street near san pablo avenue. A witness tells us that an angry crowd of about 30 to 40 people gathered at the scene following the shooting. Well, happening today, the richmond man arrested for making threats against muslims will appear in court. Fiftyfiveyearold william selly faces charges of possessing a false explosive device as well as making threats. Witnesses say hes a man at the Islamic Society of early contra costa and told people there he will come back and kill them all. Someone copied down his license plate and called police. They discovered a photo of a pipe bomb. Some people they talked to say it scared them enough to make them want to stay home. This person is threatening muslims. I think not just a hate crime. I think you would have to find it as terrorism. His behavior and aggression coupled with the photograph of this device prompted us to be or rid about what he was capable of. Reporter police say because of this incident, federal and state officials will keep an eye open for the rest of his life. Police in berkeley say the man found dead at a paternity house over the weekend fell from a significant height. Twentythreeyearold Jeffrey Thomas angler was found at 7 30 at the pi kappa phi house. Police say angler was a member of the fraternity was currently enrolled. Investigators say theres no indication of foul play but they believe alcohol was a factor in his death. The federal trial of raymond chow continues in San Francisco after chow took the witness stand yesterday to answer charges of racketeering, money landerring and murder. The 56yearold chow describe druid described growing up in hong kong, moving to San Francisco at 13 and turning to a life of crime. He denied charges that he ordered the death of a reputed gang leader. He told the jury when he got out of prison in 2003, he decided to turn his life around. A crowded target parking lot two weeks before christmas, that he expected. A medical emergency he did not. You know the San FranciscoPolice Recruit, Ricky Williams was at the target at the bay Fair Shopping Center on december 13th when his Academy Training was put to the test. A mother was standing outside her car desperately calling for help. And it was really lip limp. No signs of life at all. And he said she said my baby is not breathing. My pay by is not breathing. Reporter williams put the boy in the backseat and began cpr. Do you know, someones life is in the balance. A twomonthold infant, you know, and i just went back to my trailer and really counting to myself. One, two, three, four. Reporter while training to become an officer, williams has performed cpr on man kins. I was not expecting the baby to come back to life. Reporter after a minute, a pulse. Slowly but surely, the baby started coming back to life. Started flexing his muscles a little bit. Attempting to cry and eventually to a fullout cry. Reporter a babys life saved by a young man who hopes to take the experience with him. When he hits the streets as a Police Officer. Right place, right time. That baby was taken to ucsf Childrens Hospital in oakland, and hes home now. And as for williams, hes set to graduate from the academy in january. And we certainly need more officers like him.
