The attorney for the driver of a tour bus that crashed in San Francisco on friday plans to sue the company that made the bus. Now we have video of the runaway bus. The Attorney Says the bus driver heard a small boom and then the bus started to accelerate. He says when the brakes didnt work, the driver tried to slow down by hitting a parked car and eventually was able to stop the bus when he ran into scaffolding outside the apple store is currently under construction. The San Jose Mercury news reports 302 complaints of Excessive Force by guards at the Santa Clara County jail since 2010, the paper says only 14 of them have been formally investigated. There have been new questions about how guards treat inmates after a man was found dead in his cell last summer. Other inmates say they saw and heard three guards beat that man to death. All three have been charged with murder. A 17yearold san jose boy faces child pornography charges after authorities at Lincoln High School reported he posted nude photos of his underage female classmates on his instagram account. The boy is not being identified because of his age. Instagram has taken down the inappropriate pages. The Richmond Police department is now losing its top cop. Police chief chris magnus will take over the same job in tucson, arizona. Magnus is credited for drastically reducing crime in richmond. And building a Good Relationship between police and the public. There were 40 homicides in richmond in 2006 when he was hired, that number fell to 11 last year. Every neighborhood has a Police Officer that goes to a meeting every month and talks to them, getting to know them by name. About 100 High School Students in oakland walked out of class to protest a Deadly Police shooting. Students from castle mont high marched as 90th and bancroft. Organizers said the event was to protest a Police Shooting following a sideshow on sunday. Investigators say a man approached police and pointed an object in their direction. Police opened fire killing the 39yearold man and they say the object was very realistic looking fake gun. The walkout lasted about an hour before students return to class. A sit in by stanford students continues. Students set up camp outside the office of the University President on monday. A Group Calling itself fossil free stanford is leading the protest. They want the school to take all of its investment out of oil and Gas Companies in the next five years. Unacceptable for our university to be actively betting on the future of an industry that is actively destroying our future and aggravating systems that affect already marginalized communities. Last year, stanford divested itself of stock in the coal industry after similar pressure from students. The school uses money from its 22 billion Endowment Fund to make investments. The parents of a teenager killed while jogging last june are suing the driver and the city of san rafael according to the marin independent journal. Laura machado was jogging on Point San Pedro road when he when she was hit. The newspaper has details of the lawsuit. It claims machado had a jog had to jog into the street because a tree limb had fallen across the sidewalk. The driver was not charged in machados death. San franciscos corporate Shuttle Pilot Program is being called a success.
