The pilot radioed to the control tower that it was experiencing problem. It made an exit behind a taxiway. It appears that the plane landed safely. Its turning onto the taxiway and the Fire Department is littling behind it. It seems to be taxiing okay. That plane, a smalltwoengine plane, made an Emergency Landing. Were trying to find out more but it does appear that everything ended up safely with the plane back on the ground. Lets go to the traffic now. Westbound bay bridge, its a 30, 40minute drive time into San Francisco when you take into account the waiting and the time on the actual bridge. The commute will be okay. I would take that into the valley this morning. 7 03. Back to the desk. Thank you, sal. Oakland police are investigating a hitandrun crash that destroyed a downtown bar. It happened shortly after 3 00 this morning at 17th and telegraph. Tara moriarty has been at the scene of the crash and tells us about the strong lead in the search for the hitandrun driver. Good morning, tara. Reporter good morning. Its hard to believe but there was a car sitting right in the middle of the bar that you see on the corner. Went right through the area that you see. Meantime, police are searching for the driver, they do have some clues to go on. There was some bloody handprints found all over the car. Police say the locks were not tampered with so they believe this car was possibly not stolen. There are several stores are Surveillance Video nearby. The owner of the bar will reopen today. Shes frustrated. This is the fourth time this window has been destroyed either by a car accident or protesters over the past seven years. Luckily, no one was inside the bar when the crash happened. It closed at midnight. Three hours later, a car filled with five people ran through a red light smashed into a car headed southbound on 17th. The driver of the victims car, not seriously hurt. The five suspects ran away from the crash, police are looking for the driver. Witnesses described two African American males and three africanamerican females as being inside the car. The bar owner says it will be 40,000 to replace the window here and clean up the mother bell destroyed. She said shes marble destroyed. She shade shes asked the city for help. She said she will be meeting with city leaders to push for traffic reconfigurations to make this intersection safer. Police say a lexus crashed into a coffee shop and the driver jumped out and ran away. Police are looking for the suspect while building inspectors examined the damage. In over two hours, leland yee may enter a plea in federal court. He was arrested in wednesday, charged with accepting payment for political conconspiracirations and conspiracy conspiraciations and firearms charges. On friday, he was voted to be suspended. The suspect described as a white nan his mid30s, 6 feet tall with a dark beard and average build. The stolen car, a volkswagen passat, 2013. If you have information, call fremont police. A woman in fremont is warning women to be care until in the neighborhood. She was held at gunpoint in her home. When she came home from running errands on thursday, she heard the men in the house. They are now dealing with contamination concerns as they look for survivors. Four more bodies were found yesterday, bringing the official death toll to 21. 30 people are still missing. The u. S. The shooting happened overnight about 12 15 somewhere near interstate 580 and 14th avenue. Police say a 17yearold boy and a 22yearold man were shot. Both had to be taken to the hospital. Calfire will train and hire hundreds of new firefighters all over the state. Its something they typically do in the middle of may but because of the dry conditions caused by the dry. New this morning, a small plane made an Emergency Landing at Mineta San Jose International airport. It came in a few minutes before 7 00. You can see it landing in the circle. The Fire Department says the plane was having engine problems. It was a small private plane that came from orange county. You can see some emergency vehicles coming toward it. It did land safely and no one on board was injured. Oakland police are investigating a hitandrun crash that destroyed a downtown bar. It happened shortly after 3 00 this morning at 17th and telegraph. Ktvus Tara Moriarty has been at the crash scene for the past few hours and tells us about the strong lead in the search for that hitandrun driver. Reporter her chapts say this is a merchants say this is a notorious dangerous intersection. Five hours ago, there was a car headed this direction on telegraph. It slammed into a car heading southbound on 17th. It ended up inside that corner bar you see there thats boarded up. Police are trying to piece together who is responsible. We know that they have some clues to go on. There were bloody handprints all over the car. Police say the locks were not tampered with. They believe the car is possibly not stolen. There are several stores, Surveillance Video nearby. The owner of the bar said she will reopen today but shes very frustrated because this is the fourth time that this huge window has been destroyed either by a car accident or protesters over the past seven years. Luckily, in one was inside the car when the crash happened. It closed at misdemeanor nid. Police say a car filled with five people ran through the red light and ended up inside the rawpt there. The driver of the victims car was not seriously hurt and then the five suspects ran away from the crash. Police are looking for the driver, witnesses describe two africanamerican males and three africanamerican fee nails as being inside the car. The bar owner says it will be about 40,000 to repair the damage. She says shes actually asked the city before to put up concrete barriers here on the corner because this is such a drugs intersection. Shes been unsuccessful. She said she will meet are city leaders late today and push for traffic reconfixrations to configurations to make the intersection safer. Serious damage in San Francisco where another hitand run crash left a coffee shop in shambles early this morning. It happened around 2 30 at 21st and folsom. Police say a lexus crashed into the coffee shop and the driver jumped out and ran away. Police are still looking for the suspect while building inspectors examine the damage. Later this morning, state senator leland yee may enter a plea in federal court. He was arrested on wednesday charged with accepting payment for Political Considerations can and conspiracy to traffic in firearms. Yesterday, no one answered the door at his sunset district home. On friday, his fellow senators voted to suspend him from office. Hes already withdrawn from the race to be californias secretary of state. We did just check in with martinez police. They tell us two cars were badly damaged. They think the fire was the result of an accident and was not deliberately set. Several news crews waiting to speak with senator yee before he heads into court this morning. Yee faces seven counts, charged with exchanging political favors and a conspiracy to traffic firearms. According to law experts he has an uphill battle ahead. Hes expected to plead not guilty today as his attorney mentioned days ago. Well see what happens days ago. The 65yearold senator has remained quiet. Weve been waiting to get direct comment from him at his home but he has not stepped out besides moments ago. On friday, yees fellow state senators voted to suspend yee from the senate he withdrew his name to be secretary of state. Mayor ed lee is also calling for him to resign. Jason conner, a Contra Costa County fire engineer left this morning and will hold a flag representing bay area firefighters to honor a firefighter who died fighting a ninealarm fire. In 2007, boston firefighters came here to honor two contra costa firefighters who died in 5 fire in san pablo.
