Reporter quite a few clouds out there with partiality to even partly to even a few patchy skies. Temperatures right now off to a school start, showing cool start, 30s for napa, fairfield, concord 38, san jose 45 degrees. A sun cloud mix will gradually strip away the clouds and temperatures today will be warmer than yesterday. Coming up take a closer look at the forecast highs for this afternoon and ill let you know when 70s return to our local forecast. We begin this morning with developing news in the south bay. Firefighters say an arsonist may have struck again this morning. Ktvus allie rasmus live for us this morning in san jose where two more suspicious fires are now under investigation. Allie. Reporter one of these suspicious fires is at the greater st. John Baptist Church in san jose on san antonio street and this is the building that burned. Firefighters got the call about this around 4 00 this morning and you can see its an exterior building, a portable trailer, looks like, and when we got some video earlier of firefighters clearing things out, it appears there were some books and other items store in this exterior building behind the church. This is the second time this serial arsonist started a fire at this location. The first time he struck here was on wednesday. In fact, the same building burned. Fire investigators are also investigating at 2 00 this morning someone tried to start a fire next to a home on 24th and san antonio but that fire went out and didnt burn anything. So theres two suspicious fires investigators are checking out this morning. Investigators say these two fires are definitely suspicious. They believe they are the work of this serial arsonist that has struck several times in the downtown san jose area since wednesday. Yesterday investigators released this sketch of a person of interest in the case and its based on witness statements and Surveillance Video that show a man walking near the scene of several fires minutes before those fires started. And some of the video obtained by ktvu, you can see a man wearing dark rimmed glasses and baggy clothes. Again, thats the person of interest that fire investigators and San Jose Police want to talk to in connection with all of these fires that have been happening since wednesday. 10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of this serial arsonist. You can see whats left of the interior of this external portable building that was set on fire again at 4 00 this morning. Its one of two suspicious fires in san jose that fire investigators are checking out here. We will bring you more on this story. We are going to talk to some of the looks like there are people from the church now arriving here so we are going to talk to them and bring you more in about half an hour. Everyone is here, incredible atmosphere. I went to San Francisco and i left my heart there. Reporter you know, we are finding that there are 49 fans everywhere. We are about three hours before kickoff. No players yet on the field. We are about the time when the buses start arriving and the players get here, a lot of officials but no players yet. Several bars across the bay area are expecting big crowds for the game today. Many locations are already open for business with some bars opening their doors at 6 00 this morning. Businesses are offering food and drink deals and are hoping their big screen tvs bring in those fans. Hundreds of 49 fans expected to watch the game at the soma food park in San Francisco. Food trucks have a lot of options including a bacon breakfast and mimosas to wash it all day. Several large screen tvs so everyone can watch the game. Kickoff set for 10 00 and immediately after the game, sports director mark ibanez will have analyst on the highlights after. Investigating a shooting involving an offduty female police officer. The person shot and grazed a person after a fight following a minor car accident around midnight. The two vehicles involved pulled over near gerald avenue and bayshore boulevard. Police say the person who was shot suffered minor injuries. The officer put on paid administrative leave during the investigation. Today fire investigators in palo alto will start to look into the cause of a deadly house fire. Two People Killed friday night in a home on embark d. A. R. E. Road embarcadero road. A man in his 50s lived in the home with a caregiver. They say he was a vietnam veteran who had lived there for many years. He took care of it. He was very quiet, but we just didnt really see him but he also didnt cause any problems either. Neighbors took a picture of the fire blowing through a kitchen window you see there on your screen. Investigators say they believe that the fire may have started there in the kitchen. Well, demand for the flu shot is growing. Yesterday Marin Community clinic in san rafael overcrowded with people wanting to get the shot for the h1n1. In the past parents would usually opt out of the vaccination but this flu season things have changed. So the clinic now opened its doors to adults. They were first, you know, more concerned about their children so they were making sure they were but werent doing it themselves. Now they are seeing it is affecting that age, they are getting it themselves. More than 100 people vaccinated yesterday at the clinic which is a huge increase over last weeks total of 16. Doctors continue to encourage anyone who has not gotten the shot to go ahead and get vaccinated. So far in the bay area 11 people have died from the flu. Here is our live camera looking out towards San Francisco and the plan for today should say today heres the plan throughout the day today, temperatures on track to reach lower 60s in San Francisco. Tomorrow will be warmer and then the extended a dry weather pattern and temperatures could be right around the 70degree mark, even a few low 70s out there. A warning, though, if you are heading to the coast, a High Surf Advisory in effect for the north bay coastline but be careful for the entire shoreline. Waves have been picking up basically over the past 12 hours or so. Waves around 10 to 15 feet and strong rip currents out there. Be extra careful right near the immediate shoreline. This is the setup on the satellite, high clouds over us right now but not for long as we head into the afternoon hours, those clouds begin to move to the south, High Pressure rebuilds, no rain threat in our forecast. In fact, temperatures by tuesday will be approaching the lower 70s so we begin a warming trend today but it really kicks in for monday, tuesday, wednesday, we could have record breaking highs, not too hard to beat this time of year and the dry weather pattern is here to stay. Also we have this, an increase in the winds picking up later on today out of the north, so could be locally gusty winds for the higher terrain of the north bay and also out towards the east bay winds gusting around 30 to 35 miles an hour. San francisco voters may get to decide whether a new arena for the warriors can be built on the citys waterfront. According to the San Francisco chronicle, people against the plan have been Gathering Signatures for about for a ballot measure that could block development. It would require voters to approve any Waterfront Development that exceeds height limits. Temperatures today a good three to 8 degrees warmer than yesterday. With one of the driest years on record, governor jerry brown is being pressured to formally declare a drought emergency. Two dry years depleted many reservoirs and streams and rivers are running low. Letters to the governor asking for action. Governor brown appointed a committee to review conditions. His Administration Says he is considering that formal declaration. Now been four days without tap water for about 300,000 people in West Virginia. A chemical leak at a coal plant north of charleston made that water toxic. Health Officials Say even boiling it is not enough to make it safe to drink. So people are using bottled water to do everything from brushing their teeth to washing dishes. This is actually the third place ive been to trying to get water so ive resorted to ice. Over the weekend fema distributed millions of liters of water. The problem discovered on thursday after people reported their water smelled like black licorice. The state says it is working to fix the problem but does not know how long it will take. Neimanmarcus is sending in letters to customers they say they believe were affected by a security breach. The Dallas Based Company confirmed the breach saying thieves stole credit and debit card data over the weekend. It appears to have affected customers who shopped in stores and not online. Neimanmarcus the second largest retailer hit by Holiday Identity Theft following targets theft last month. The first major retailer to accept a currency bit coin says it racked up 125,000 in sales in the 24 hours. Internet retailer overstock. A Southern California lawmaker wants to provide Affordable Health Care Insurance to undocumented immigrants. California is offering a new way to check cosmetics for harmful chemicals. State Health Officials launched a website that has information on 30,000 products. Residents of haze valley say more homeless have been setting up tents in parks and near businesses. A number of homeless were recently moved out of the mid market corridor as part of mayor ed lees plan to revitalize that area. Access to a newly renovated boarding area and the renovation debut on january 28th in terminal three. The nearly 69,000 square foot location will offer 10 gates to accommodate 50 daily departures. The boarding area will feature an entertainment area, multiple Dining Options, 375 power outlets, a playroom for children, even a yoga room. The airline is also making other changes in the terminal that will debut in the summer of 2015. They say the northern american otter spotted in walnut creek, San Francisco, oakland, freedom and also fremont and elsewhere in the bay area. Reporter thats right, two suspicious fires overnight and san jose fire investigators believe this serial arsonist struck again. The first fire that happened was at 2 00 a. M. Outside a home on 24th and san antonio. But firefighters say that fire went out very quickly, it didnt burn anything. It didnt spread. There was no Property Damage. The fire that happened here at 4 00 this morning is a different story. What youre looking at is an outside exterior classroom, its like a portable building located in the back parking lot of the greater st. John the Baptist Church in san jose. It burned around 4 00 this morning. This is the second time this serial arsonist started a fire at this location. The first time he struck here at this church was on wednesday. Since wednesday, there have now been 12 fires in the downtown san jose area, 10 of them arson, the other two are under investigation. Reporter now, santa rosa san jose firefighters offering a 10,000 reward leading to the arrest of this serial arsonist and a short time ago we spoke to some of the Church Representatives, we talked to them off camera and one of the gentlemen out here says they are not ready to talk on camera about what happened. Now they have had a fire happen for the second time under suspicious circumstances, they say they are reluctant to draw any more attention to themselves. Today fire investigators in palo alto will start looking into the cause of a deadly house fire there. Two people were killed friday night in a home on embarcadero road. Investigators already secured the property but delayed the start of their investigation for safety reasons because they wanted to give the debris time to settle. The demand for the flu shot is growing. Clinics across the bay area are reporting the number of requests for that vaccination rapidly increasing. So far in the bay area, 11 people have died from the flu. Statewide 30 deaths are being investigated as possibly flu related. We are less than three hours away until kickoff, anticipation building for todays 49ers playoff game against the Carolina Panthers. New reports says it could cost up to 3 million to build a park in santa rosa in honor of 13yearold andy lopez. Lopez was shot and killed by a Sonoma County sheriffs deputy in october while carrying a replica assault rifle. The deputy says he opened fire because he thought it was a real gun. People angry about the shooting say a Memorial Park is important to them. In addition the money needed to build the park could cost another 25,000 a year to maintain it. The board of supervisor will discuss the park proposal on tuesday. A distinctive piece of clothing might be the key to identifying an armed bank robber. Investigators released this surveillance photo of the robbers seen wearing a hat with a zebra print trim. Deputies say around 3 00 p. M. Yesterday the man used a gun to threaten a teller at the chase bank on south El Camino Real in millbrae. Describing the suspect as a thin black man, 56 tall. They say on friday night a man reported being robbed at gunpoint by three or four suspects, the victim says he was supposed to meet up with them because they said they wanted to buy medical marijuana from him along with the marijuana victim says the suspects stole his wallet, cell phone and keys. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the sheriffs department. San pablo police say theres been a drop of crime in the city. Last year was the first time in 27 years that there were no homicides in the city. There were seven in 2012. The report also says there was a 20 drop in property crime, a 30 drop in robberies and a 57 drop in reports of rape. Police say engaging with the community and using new technology hoped lower those crime rates. Bad weather stopped the recovery of a plane that crashed in idaho killing a family from san jose. That plane crashed in early december but wasnt found until two days ago. Officials suspended their search for the plane in mid december but friends and family say they were continuing to keep searching until that plane was found. A meeting planned for monday to figure out the best way to reach that plane and remove the bodies of the five family members on board. Tomorrow will be the eighth annual National Amber alert awareness day. The u. S. Department of justice says the day was created to raise Public Awareness about the amber alert program. The chp says the goal of that program is to encourage entire communities to team up in the search for missing children. Since it was started in july of 2002, californias amber alert system had helped safely return 254 children. If you missed it, mark had the rainfall amounts. Reporter as we were wrapping up our last live shot at 7 30, we could hear fire engine sirens in the background so we raced over to check it out and just on the other side of the Railroad Tracks behind us in this Mobile Home Park we found fire investigators checking out a third fire this morning. Investigators tell us someone tried to light a fire on 1300 and san antonio street. The fire limited just to the grass and part of a fence burned before the fire went out. So there was no injuries, there was no Property Damage. But fire investigators are working overtime trying to find the person responsible for all this suspicious all the suspicious fires and arsons that have happened in the downtown san jose area in the past week. At 4 00 a. M. This morning an exterior portable building in the back parking lot of the greater st. John the Baptist Church burned. This is the second time the serial arsonist believed to have started a fire at this particular church. The first time on wednesday. And fire investigators also checked out a small fire this morning around 2 00 a. M. At 24th and san antonio. That fire went out quickly. It burned in the grass just a little bit before it could spread to anything so there was no Property Damage there. Yesterday investigators released this sketch of a person of interest who they would like to talk to in connection with these suspicious fires. Its based on witness statements and Surveillance Video that show a man walking near the scene of several fires minutes before those suspicious fires started. In some of the video obtained by ktvu, you can see a man wearing dark rimmed glasses and baggy clothes. Fire investigators hope someone out there will recognize him. Very concerned. I mean, we have been very lucky and the citizens here, the last thing i want to see and the last thing our department wants to see are anybody in the city or anybody in the city wants to see, police and administration, anybody, is to see someone get injured or killed from one of these fires. We talked briefly to some of the Church Representatives out here off camera. They said they didnt want to talk on camera about what happened yet because they are really reluctant now that this is the second fire thats happened here to draw any more attention to themselves. New this morning, San Francisco police are investigating a shooting that involved an offduty female police officer. Police say the officer shot and grazed a person after a fight following a minor car accident around midnight. The accident happened on interstate 280 but the two vehicles involved pulled over near gerald avenue and bayshore boulevard. Police say the person who was shot suffered minor injuries. The officer has been put on paid administrative leave during the investigation. Well, today fire investigators in palo alto will start looking into the cause of a deadly house fire. Two people were killed friday night in a home on embarcadero road. The coroner has not released the names of the victims but the neighbors say a man in his 50s lived in the home with a caregiver. They say he was a vietnam veteran who had lived there for many years. He was very quiet, but we just didnt really see him but he also didnt cause any problems either. Well, neighbors took a picture of the fire blowing through a kitchen window. Investigators say they believe the fire may have started in that kitchen. Demand for the flu shot growing. Yesterday a clinic in san rafael was overcrowded with people who wanted to get the shot for the h1n1. A spokesperson for the clinic says in the past parents would usually opt out of the vaccination but this year things have changed. So the clinic now opened its doors to adults. They were first more concerned about their children so they were making sure they were but they werent doing it themselves and now that they are seeing that it is affecting that age, then they are, they are getting them themselves. More than 100 people were vaccinated yesterday at the clinic, a huge increase when you consider last week they vaccinated a total of 16. Doctors continue to encourage anyone who hasnt gotten the shot yet to get vaccinated. So far in the bay area 11 people have died from the flu. Silicon valley entrepreneur is pushing a ballot measure to boost the states minimum wage to 12 an hour. Ron un says the minimum wage not kept up with inflation and in real dollars is less now than it was 45 years ago.
