We know they were males in their early 20s. The suspects have not been caught. The bullets sprayed into a nearby apartment complex. Luckily nobody was struck there. The clerks window at gas station took gunfire. Apparently that is shattered. Crime scene investigators are here now and there are surveillance cameras at the gas station, the enterprise car rental and delhi nearby. They basically have this intersection shut off because they dont want anybody to get in and they are hoping they can talk to those owners and look at the surveillance video. There is a new fly over ramp in san jose. Its its at the interstate 280880 interchange. Janine de la vega is there. We understand the ramp just opened minutes ago . Are some people concerned about it . Reporter you know i havent been able to talk to any commuters because were up here on the overpass. But it did open up i would say about 20 minutes ago and there you can see the new fly over ramp there. It looks like a pickup truck took it to the right. The vta knows a little disorienting for drivers. They want everyone to take it slow. Heres a map. The new fly over ramp takes motorists to northbound 880 so they no long very to mix with people trying to get off on the busy Stevens Creek. Drivers need to remember to stay to the right to go to 880 if they want to connect to 17 that is going to be to the left. This project has been in the o since late 2012 and was done to improve traffic flow. There will be touch up. There is also wider bicycle lanes there along the Stevens Creek area. The whole 280 and 88 interchange has been a congested area. So by separating them and reconfiguring the exits the vta says this will be a safer and smoother commute. Anthony wynn was riding in his honda civic saturday night when he and two of his friends were hit by a black corvette. Just before the crash police tried to pull over that corvette for speeding. The police chase stopped when the officer lost sight of the car. A few blocks later the corvette crashed into the civic. I view this whole thing as tragic. The simplest thing for that gentleman to have done was to stop. Police later arrested 20 yearold perez of san pablo and charged him with vehicular manslaughter. Later today search views will continue to look for the motorcyclist who was thrown into the San Joaquin River after colliding with a car on the antioch bridge. Last night rescue crews and helicopters and boats spent hours searching the area. Today divers will join the search. Officer say when they aryed on the scene they found the motorcycle at the high point of the bridge. He more than likely flipped over the railing. There is lots of questions. Was he injured during the collision . Dont know that yet. Was he injured during that fall . Dont know yet. Some private boaters joined in on the search. One of them found the mans helmet. His family says they hold on to the hope that he survived and will be able to return home to his wife and new baby daughter. We are learning that the body of a third man has been recovered after a diving trip took a tragic turn off the mendocino coast. Rescuers say a group of five men diving in casper cove got caught in rough waters. Rescuers were able to pull two men to safety. The bodies of two other men were also rescued at that time. The fifth man who was seen struggling in the waves disappeared from sight. Rescuers found his body 3. 5 hours later. The men are said to be from the bay area and east coast. There is speculation. Now over the weekend use with vacuum trucks were out there sucking out some of the cement that spilled into glen echo creek. That happened after sub contractors accidentally turned a valve the wrong way. Sending cement flowing into that creek. A half mile of that creek has it will lit rally been destroyed. The fact that it actually happened is the hardest part of all. And then cleaning it up will take a long time and a lot of effort. Now later today crews will resume the cleanup operation in the creek and restoration project. Governor jerry brown wants to get rid of an Environmental Restoration guarantee in the states twin tunnel water project. Supporters say the 25 billion tunnel that would run from sacramento to Southern California will improve water delivery and reduce the use for huge pumps that can kill fish. The San Jose Mercury news is reporting the governor wants to abandon that plan after federal regulators say it wouldnt issue permits because its not clear if the state can fulfill its promise. According to the paper without that guarantee the governor may have a tough time finding backers. It is 5 38. After several days on the run a man who allegedly killed his girlfriend in front of her children in san jose is now under arrest. 25yearold Andrew Butler was captured saturday. He is charged with killing 33 yearold Kendra Gonzalez of sacramento. Butler shot her tuesday while they were sitting in a parked car. He then dumped gonzalezs body on the side of the road in front of her two children. Gonzalezs family held a fundraiser yesterday to help pay for her funeral. Family members say they didnt know butler very well. I dont know him personally. But i can see when she would come around with him. He was always quiet. He couldnt look me in my face and talk. She really wanted to leave him. Gonzalezs family says her 1 yearold daughter is traumatized and her 17year old daughter is traumatized and will need counseling. Time is 5 39. And outside our doors a cool down in store for your monday afternoon. I will explain why and talk about how long it will last. They are seeing a new change during this mornings commute. Its at the interstate 280880 interchange. Adjusting to the new ramp so far . It seems so. We are standing here on this overpass and it opened up about an hour ago or so. We havent seen too many vehicles using it. There is one going right now. This is a really new change for commuters. The vta wants people to really look out for all the signs leading up to it. Heres a map showing the change. Which will effect drivers that are traveling on northbound 280. There is now a new fly over ramp that takes motorists to northbound 880. They no longer have to mix with people trying to get off on the busy Stevens Creek exit. Drivers may be disoriented at first because they need to stay on the right to go to 880 and access that fly over. Now before it was reversed so the whole 280880 interchange was congested but now Stevens Creek has its own dedicated exit ramp. This project has been in the works since late 2012 and it was done to improve traffic flow. This fly over ramp will get commuters going from the free to the freeway from the freeway to the freeway without mixing with much local traffic. In the coming weeks they may see construction. They still need to do some final paving and sidewalk widening. That will all go away. Thank you janine. Never before seen video has been released of another Deadly Police shooting of an unarmed African American man. This time it happened in tulsa, oklahoma. He was being investigated for illegally selling a gun to an under carve officer. The deputies fired his weapon killing 44yearold harris. The deputy said he meant to use his stun gun. Harris family says the shooting still leaves a lot of unanswered questions. What kind of gun did bob bates use . That is my question. Was he trained 234 how to use this weapon . If youre taking bart it should be a good commute. What a great option to get to the stadiums using public transportation. You dont have to worry about parking and all of that expensive stuff. As janine mentioned the new ramps on 280 at Stevens Creek, that will be great but it will take some time to get used to. Right now traffic is moving along very well in the south bay.
