Detectives right now are sorting through evidence to determine what happened. Reporter there was a trail of blood in front of the home and a ripped screen door, suggesting it could have been a Home Invasion robbery. Police used those clues to arrest the suspect, who was only blocks away when they arrived. A 911 call came from a neighbor around 2 45 p. M. Yesterday. They said two men were fighting outside a home and one was choking the other. When police arrived, they saw the blood, found a woman alive but critically hurt inside the front door. Inside the garage, they discovered the body in his man, Leroy Sandoval who bought the home 15 years ago and lived there with his girlfriend. Very nice guy. You know, he was by himself most of the time. This neighborhood, its mostly working people. Reporter he said the screen to the home appeared to have been ripped open and police found a black cap nearby and arrested the suspect a few blocks away. Three men have been arrested in the kidnapping and Sexual Assault of a Woman Held Captive in Sonoma County. She told police she escaped last week from a home on stoney point road and investigators say shed been held captive there for two months. Yesterday three men went to the Sheriffs Office to pick up property that was seized during the investigation. All three were arrested as they approached that building. One was arrested for rape and its not clear if she knew the men before the kidnapping. Well have more on that case at 5 30. New reports this morning that jihadi john was born in kuwait but grew up in london. Hes believed to be 27 years old, a College Graduate with a degree in Computer Programming and believed to be seen beheading at least five western hostages. We are learning about the arrest of flee new york men who planned to leave the u. S. To join the terrorist group in syria. They were living in brooklyn. One of the men was arrested as he tried to board a new york flight bound for turkey. He appeared in federal court yesterday along with another plan who had planned to travel to the middle east next month. They had a backup plan, according to the police commissioner. If they were not able to go, that they would seek to acquire weapons here, handguns, machine guns, and seek to attack very specifically police officers. A third man was arrested in florida and is accused of helping fund the operation. One man posted messages on a website stating his desire to join isis and killing president obama or planting a bomb at coney island. Congress has until tomorrow to extend the funding for Homeland Security. A clean bill would be without provisions on the immigration reform. The white house already passed a homeland funding measure but with the provisions to block the executive action. I dont know what the senate is capable of passing. Shuttle drivers who take apple employees back and forth to work are set to vote on whether to unionize. They have complained about low pay and long hours at the worlds most valuable company. They will be talking to the bus drivers who drop off and pick up apple employees about joining the union. Charter bus drivers who shuttle them around are expected to vote only friday whether to join the teamsters. The union argues drivers are struggling to support their families and they should share in the high profitability of the Tech Companies. Last weekend they struck a deal for the drivers who transport facebook employees, calling for guaranteed overtime after 8 hours a day, up to five weeks after vacation, contradictions to retirement plans and they can make up to 25 an hour with increases in the future. The teamsters want to negotiate a similar deal for those who work for compass transportation. They are supposed to be out here around 7 00 a. M. We hope to speak with them about what they want to do. Three men are under arrest this morning, accused of holding a woman hostage inside a santa rosa home and sexually assaulting her. We have all the disturbing details of the case. Reporter investigators say it appears the woman was being held captive for nearly two months inside this home, beaten and Sexual Assaulted before escaping last week through an open door. Authorities say the 22yearold victim was being held here inside this Rural Property on stony point road. Detectives believe the homeowner was the mastermind behind this brutal series of crimes. He is one of three men arrested yesterday in this case. All of those men showed up yesterday afternoon about 4 00 at the Sonoma CountySheriffs Office to pick up property that was taken during a search of the home last week. Deputies at that time then took the men into custody as they approached the building. Authorities have identified the mastermind here and hes being held on suspicion of rape and sodomy. His bail is set at 6 million because hes considered a flight risk. The other two men in custody are accused of guarding the victim and preventing her from leaving the house. They are all scheduled to be in court tomorrow. The question thats not yet been answered is whether the three men knew this victim or whether it was a random crime of some sort. We are hoping to get answers to those questions later today from investigators. Investigators are trying to determine whether a 3weekold baby found dead was killed. Search crews found the body and friends of the mother urged the public to give her time to mourn. Nobody is a court of law here. Nobody is pass judgment. The truck driver connected to tuesdays Train Derailment is due in court this afternoon, arrested on a felony charge of leaving the scene of an accident. 28 people were injured when the train collided with his truck that had stalled on the track. Doctors revived the train driver after his heart stopped. They plan to interview the crew members later today. He says his truck got stuck on the tracks and he jumped out as he saw the train approaching. A new City Ordinance in san jose is banning bikes on the sidewalk in downtown san jose. The fines will range from 100 to 1,000. Kids 12 and younger and their guardians are exempt, as well as police officers. The City Council Approved the ban after pedestrians complained about too much bike traffic on sidewalks. Bicyclists say its forcing them to ride on the streets and increases their risk of getting hit by a car.
