When you get to the toll plaza, the metering lights have been turned on. There is not a major delay. About a 1520 minute drive time. If you are driving on the san mateo or the dumbarton bridge any time soon, you can see the road sensors are showing us a pretty clear drive. Its 6 02 lets go back to the desk. We are starting our 6 00 hour with breaking news from San Francisco. The investigation of an Early Morning fire in the Apartment Building of the twin peaks neighborhood. Battalion chief says the fire was accidental and many neighbors say it was started bay candle that was left burning. That is what they were told by several people. The calls sistered coming in just the calls started coming in just before 5 00 a. M. We can show you this apartment build song the 600 block of corbett avenue. The fire alarms began to go off here 234 this building and dozens of neighbors had to be evacuated. Firefighters were able to contain the fire no just the one unit. There was a bit of damage to a unit that is just on the floor above. And there was water damage as well. For the most part they did a nice job containing the fire to that single unit where it originally broke out. In the end there was no one that was hurt out here. The whole place is on fire. It looked like the movies. How scary was this for you . It was very scary. Ive been here 34 years. Weve had a lot of fake fire alarms and this is the real one. You grab your purse and go. Reporter crews got the fire under control fairly quickly. All of those people that were evacuated were allowed to return home. They will be allowed to investigate the cause of this fire. Meantime San Francisco firefighters still at the scene of a massive fire right in the heart of the Mission District that started yesterday afternoon near mission and 22nd street. Big flames gutted a building housing the big House Incorporated retail store. Incredible pictures. The building was packed with clothing, luggage, toys, and gifts. And the smoke was thick and toxic. At least four people treated for smoke inhalation including two firefighters. More than 100 firefighters battled those flames for hours. With the windy conditions, it could have been much worse. We could have lost half the block or the entire block. Fire crews are still out there this morning looking out out for hot spots. This video was shot some time ago. The video is a total loss. They are still trying to determine the cause of the fire. A 17yearold girl is facing felony charges accused of selling marijuana filled cookies at school. School Officials Say five students that ate the pot cookies got sick. Two had to go to the hospital yesterday afternoon. Now the police were called, the School Principal says students helped the police with the investigation. They did a growth job. They knew some of they did a great job. They knew some of their fellow students were hurt or ill. They came to us and let us know. Police say the unidentified High School Senior that was arrested was selling and giving away the pot cookies. He was arrested on nine felony counts including possession and selling of drugs at school and child endangerment. Its possible she may be expelled. Police have identified the father wanted for punching a man in a public restroom. He is now facing assault charges. This cell phone video shows a man in a striped shirt. They have identified as olivio. Attacking an elderly man in a blue shirt. Investigators say olivio claims he thought the elderly man exposed himself to his son. The attack happened on labor day in a public restroom. A 2,500 reward for vandalism in downtown last gators. They attacked three businesses. Two days ago a business on east main street was hit. In addition to the reward, police have increased patrols in the area. Now to continuing coverage of that earthquake in napa. Seismologists say several creeks in napa, sonoma, and solano counties have increased their water flow ever since that earthquake more than two weeks ago. Its a natural phenomenon. It often happens after a strong quake. Scientists say seismic shock waves open up fractures and bedrock. That allows bed water to flow quickly into surface streams. Firefighters maying progress in battling a large wild fire. The fire has burned more than 90 acres along highway 20. It started wednesday afternoon and at least two buildings have been destroyed. Investigators are still trying to figure out the cause of the fire. A man suspected of trying to kidnap a teenager was arrested after someone recognized his photo here. They took 30yearold joshua mann into custody yesterday. They apprehended him just as he was trying to leave the area. She prang managed to get away. A few days later the girl spotted him again. Petaluma schools are on alert. That happened yesterday afternoon near petaluma boulevard south and s street. The teenager told police she was forced to run away from the man that repeatedly asked her to get inside her car. Police describe the man as dark skip. Possibly latino or indian. He is described as an acne scared face. He was driving a white four door sedan. Possibly a toyota pree use. Police continue to look for a man they believe is connected to a series of attacks on joggers in fairfield. Now this is a sketch showing what the man may look like. Young symptom was shot and killed while making a traffic stop on southbound 680. The driver pulled out a gun and shot and killed youngstrom. He was pronounced dead the next day.
