From critical to serious. He suffered life threatening injuries after the shooting. Police got a call for help after a honda crashed in capital avenue and montana street in the oceanview neighborhood. The Theft Task Force had followed the car into the neighborhood. They are made up of chp and local Law Enforcement officers. They were working together and they track down stolen vehicles. It appears that the honda involved in this may have come up as a stolen car. Police sources told ktvu when police surrounded the vehicle, the suspect tried to drive off and ended up dragging the chp officer, injuring him. Officers opened fire and the suspect was struck multiple times. The man did not have a gun and it is not clear which officers fired the weapons in the incident because this task force included members of the chp, Daly City Police and san mateo police. San Francisco Police were not directly involved but are investigating the shooting because it happened within San Francisco city limits. Were getting the answers about some of the details of this incident yesterday. It is complicated because the san Francisco Police mentioned we have four different agencies involved in the investigation. Allie rasmus, ktvu fox 2 news. Walnut creek Police Arrested two off duty contra costa firefighters after receiving a report of drunk belligerent people at a hotel. The call came in around 5 00 in the morning after the firefighters ball had ended. Both firefighters along with two women were aevent ared. The firefighters have been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation. With he know more how authorities found a baby in guerneville who was kidnapped by his mother who had lost custody of the child. Hannah ashley and henry why found yesterday. Officers spotted her vehicle but she got away. Ashley was later seen in town clutching a duffle bag. She asked for a cigarette. They didnt know the child was in the bag until a chp officer recognized her. It really worked. The Community Came together and watched for the vehicle. All of the tips that we got really just accelerated the capture. Ashley tried to run but was caught. She was booked into the Sierra County jail but will be brought back to sonoma county. The baby boy was checked out and is in good health. Social workers took him back to his grandmother who has legal custody of him. New information about the murder trial of the man accused of kidnapping and killing sierra lamar. Now according to reports, the defense lawyers for gear see torres may argue that sierra lamar is not dead, but may have actually run away from home. The defense hopes to call as a witness a woman who lived with sierra and her mother who reportedly told investigators that sierra was planning to leave home. A judge will hear arguments on monday on whether to allow a statement sierra wrote in a notebook that said she would be in San Francisco on march 16th of 2012, the day she disappeared. In San Francisco bay area documentary film maker kevin epps has been released from jail and will not be charged in the deadly shooting inside his own home. According to the d. A. s office, there was not enough evidence to prosecute him. Epps was accused of shooting polk senior who is reportedly the father of epps stepson. Polk was a registered sex offender and had been convicted for robbery and domestic robbery. The pentagon has been instructed to stop asking for reimbursements. The dmv has experienced a major computer outage impacting offices around the state. Reporter an employee from the dmv in santa clara came out at 9 00 and told people waiting in line that the Computer System was still down. The outage happened on monday and affected numerous offices throughout the state, including 15 in the bay area. Only limited low Tech Services were available such as vehicle verification and driving tests much those that needed to register their vehicle or fees were out of luck. Many left the office after getting the news. I saw on the website there were issues. I figured it was worth a shot. I have upcoming surgeries so i need to get my temporary placard. It is frustrating. This morning members of the military escort team led the procession as the casket carrying 23yearold danielle lucky arrived at the baptist church. [music] reporter a couple hundred people were on hand inside for the funeral, including fellow sailors. Everyone here to say goodbye to the pittsburgh native who joined the navy to make a better life for herself and her family. In fact, she was planning to save money to send her young nephew to college some day. She was an honest person. She was loyal. She never judged people and she opened her arms up to everyone, to everybody. And she was my best friend. We did everything together. Reporter and as the family arrived at church, luckys father was in uniform. Not his. He had on his daughters fatigues, a touching way to honor her service as this grieving family struggles to make sense of what happened. I want to find out what really happened to my baby. Who was she with . Who was around her and what was she going through in the process to her passing. I want those answers. And i will not stop until i get those answers. Reporter earlier this month, lucky died while serving on board an Aircraft Carrier that was traveling through the philippines sea. She started feeling sick, went to rest in her bunk and never woke up. The navy says she suffered cardiac arrest but her death is still under investigation. She was healthy when she left california. Me and my wife took her to the airport. You know, she was happy. She couldnt wait to start her adventure. Reporter the family tells me an autopsy is being performed this week. Theyre hoping to have the results back in the next couple of weeks. And thats when they are hoping to learn more about exactly how danielle lucky died. According to a new poll, residents are for concerned about crime, the price of housing and job creation than keeping the teams in oakland. The poll was conducted by the Chamber Commerce and included 600 likely voters. At least 40 of the voters did say it was important to keep the teams in oakland. The mayor said any deal would have to be a responsible one and would not involve spending public money. A new San Francisco poll says residents blame city hall and the Tech Industry for some of the sites biggest problems. The new poll was conducted by rise sf, a group formed to push for more housing and better public transportation. 24 of those polled say homelessness is the citys most important problem to address. 17 said Affordable Housing specifically. The Investigation Continues into the deadly plane crash that happened yesterday afternoon on private property between concord and pittsburgh. Investigators believe that at some point the single engine plane clipped high voltage power lines and crashed before bursting into flames. Linda lives on the property where the crash happened and learned about the crash from a man working nearby. He said he heard a plane, sounded not right. Like it it just sounded funny and he thought it started to spiral down. Then he heard the crash. No word yet on the pilots name. Investigators have not said where the plane took off from or where it was headed. No Power Outages were caused by the plane hitting the power line. Police released Surveillance Video of a violent and terrifying robbery at a subway last sunday. On the video, one of the robbers attacks the clerks working at the Sandwich Shop on san pablo avenue. The robber punched the employee in the face several times. The worker needed to be transported to the hospital for treatment. The other subway worker was not hurt. The two men took off with an undisclosed amount of cash. Now to san ramon where were learning new information about racist graffiti found at a high school. A student admits to writing the words white and colored in a boys bathroom last week. Now more graffiti has shown up in a girls bathroom. Reporter last tuesday, students started showing a photo of racist graffiti in a boys bathroom in san ramon at the high school. School officials started investigating after students notified administration. Yesterday morning, more hate speech. This time a threat and several uses of a racial slur against africanamericans was this time graffitid in the girls bathroom. I didnt expect it to come from our campus. But it addresses the fact that there is racism out here in the suburbs when a lot of people dont think there is. Its nothing to joke about. Reporter the School District opened an investigation immediately after the graffiti in the boys bathroom and notified police. In the afternoon, the School Administration went classroom and classroom and talked to kids about it. They want today ensure that kids knew about it and had the right information and they understood it was being taken seriously . Students and parents have a different version of events. But parents are angry they werent notified by School Officials last week. Some of the kids that i talked to are actually in fear. They dont like it. School officials are reviewing what kind of disciplinary they will take against the boy. No word if he has talked to police. Possibly two inches of rain in the next five days in santa rosa and San Francisco with an inch and a half. This could be targeting the fire zone. They have a Flash Flood Watch posted as a result. Excessive rainfall rates could cause problems with debris flows. Watch out for that towards the fire zone. Thursday and friday, rainfall returns. The weekend, were talking about this other system. This is moving in from the southwest. Another one developing out here. That will be a cooler one as we head into the weekend. Tomorrow, periods of rain developing throughout the day on thursday. Im thinking the heaviest rain will move in thursday night and into friday morning. Then we talked about the weekend. This cold front is moving in with rain developing in the north bay on saturday. It will take time to get down to the rest of the bay area. It could pick up saturday night and early sunday morning. With the bulk of the heavy rain will be late saturday night and sunday morning with the second system. Here is the forecast model trying to generate clouds out there. You can see a few scattered showers out in the pacific. Tomorrow morning, i think we will have more activity on the future radar here. I would count at least scattered rain showers to recall morning. Probably a better bet during the afternoon hours on thursday. Friday, the rainfall rates pick up. You will notice the bulk of the rainfall focused to monterey bay. We have rain pushing into the region from the southwest. And then friday, theres the rain line paying us a visit. As far as temperatures this afternoon, 60s and 70s. Today is the break day. Enjoy the sunshine because we have more rain and clouds in the forecast. A lot to talk about here with rain clouds for thursday. Morning rain, showers for friday afternoon. Then we could have rainfall redeveloping into the weekend, especially by saturday night and into sunday. Mike and gasia, with all of the downpours out there and gusty winds in the forecast, if you can stay off the roads, if you have that option, that is a good plan, especially for the friday morning commute. So, yeah, were trying to wrap up the recording end of the year, beginning of next year. Launch a single and get the whole ball rolling next year as well as launch the album and the tour next summer. That tour starts in march with a vegas residency at planet hollywood. They spoke about how they have been able to Work Together for so long. We try to have really good open communication. We try to talk things out with our mouths, not with our fists. You know, theres going to be moments and days where we dont all see eye to eye. There are five strongly opinionated guys. But we try to work as much as a team as possible. And whatever that means. If its business, creative, if its touring, if its merchandise. Whatever it is, we try to work as a team.
