Reporter police are looking for this man at this hour. A terrifying situation for people in west oakland this afternoon. When that man smashed windows and attacked people. Take a look at video and images shot earlier today it started before noon near 10th and Center Street in west oakland. Witnesses say a man for some unknown reason, began to smash windows of five cars. With an object. He then went on to attackeda attack five people. To of them had to be taken to a hospital. One suffered moderate injuries. Another had minor injuries. It is not clear what the motive was. Whether the man was under the influence of something or had a mental or medical emergency. We talk to the victim, as well as a witness. There was a guy walking down the street. He was on drugs or angry. He was bashing cars with a baseball bat. He came down from that side. He hit two or three cars. He smashed my window on the corner. Then he hit a few cars this way. He ended up hitting people in the face. He went over to the corner. He hit someone in the head. And in the face. He went somewhere else. Reporter we spoke to residents in the area. Some of them know who he is. Oakland police are familiar with him as well.
